For starters, stop with the nurse vs. physician junk. We are all subject to the business of healthcare together now; whoever doesn't know that hasn't been paying attention for quite awhile. I wouldn't have bothered to comment except that keeping this fake competition thing going does not serve the interest of nurses at.all. It is a strategic diversion that needs to go away.
Homework?
Sounds like it.
Nurses are ranked as the number one most trusted profession.
Maybe take this angle instead.
I have never been treated like a sex object at work. Other than if you count the elderly male that asks me to climb into bed with him, but I wasn't the only one propositioned
If you give me a few of your ideas I would love to offer more help.
As nurses, how do you think we can promote a more positive image regarding the nursing profession using the media to the public?
Very poignant question, ccasssie!
I plan to promote a more positive image regarding the nursing profession by cleaning up my own backyard. I'm going to end my affair with my pharmacist supplier of illegally-obtained controlled substances for my own recreational use! Then, I'm going to stop euthanizing patients, without an order! And finally, I'm going back to school and pass an accredited nursing program, get my license, and stop impersonating a nurse!
Yeah! Thanks, ccassie! You've really motivated me! And welcome to AN.com!

As nurses, how do you think we can promote a more positive image regarding the nursing profession using the media to the public? The media has portrayed nurses as inferior to physicians and provocative for too long. Now is the time we stand up for our profession and present a more positive image to the public about nurses.
