Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

They must still be reviewing apps then ! You can shoot them an email and ask if you would like. They received almost 1000 applications so maybe they haven’t gotten to all of them yet. Thats why they probably didn’t send out a timeline email.

Don’t worry I haven’t received the initial review email either! I emailed them yesterday about this and they informed me that they anticipate decisions going out in mid - December and the second round in early February. They will be sending a timeline hopefully next week to confirm. Hope this helps !

Hi everyone! I hope we all get good news soon. I got the generic email from the financial aid team today reminding us to submit the FAFSA. However, most of the other schools I applied to were BSN programs so I submitted my FAFSA as an undergraduate student. The email from CUSON stated that our application should be as a graduate student. I emailed them for clarification since I applied to different kinds of programs but was wondering if anyone had already asked this question/received an answer from the financial aid office. I will update once I get a response!

This is super helpful! Not that you or anyone would know, do you guys think they will also be sending out first round of rejections as well? Or leave those until February? Im just so nervous!

Hey! I am also in the same situation. I ended up following Columbia's directions by putting that I was a graduate/professional. However, I believe you are able to go back to make corrections after your FAFSA has been processed.

After its been processed you can go back and change it, to put other schools I believe. Emailing Columbia would be your best bet for confirmation.

Honestly, since its in rounds I believe it will be both acceptance and rejection which is super scary ?

Its so nerve-racking to think we could find out this month (or in the next 3 months) whether or not we have been accepted. I don't think ill be sleeping for the next 3 months ?

I stopped sleeping the moment I submitted my application ? I keep checking my email  for any updates/timeline emails. But we’ll probably get some type of email next week and half of us will soon get a decision letter ugh

Did anyone do the addendum and optional essay? And also did anyone complete all their prerequisites?
