Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

Please do, and for future reference, don't post things like this without solid proof. As is we are all anxious to hear back any news and you throw a bomb like this without any context whatsoever was an awful nerve-wracking thing if you to do for the rest of us.

I assumed other people received acceptances since someone posted about it. I apologize and will try to find out more details from her.

No, otherwise this thread would have been very active with notifications. I know this because I applied last year and when we all heard back it was post after post. They haven't even released a timeline of when they are going to release decisions yet for this upcoming year. Columbia is too big of a school to pull something like this out of nowhere. Also, both MDE and MDE/DNP prior to this upcoming year has gotten notified at the same time. Again, I'm sure you didn't mean it but I hope this experience shed's some light on the process.

Hey! Thanks for letting us know what you saw. We're all just really anxious and I hope none of us came off as rude or anything. Let us know of any updates from the girl ? thanks a lot!

I’m waiting for her response and will let you guys know as soon as she messages back. I’m really sorry again! I just freaked out when I saw it and posted it here to see if anyone else heard the same

No need to apologize anymore! All in the past now. Yeah I think I would've done the same or just phrase it in question form!

Ahh she said “it’s not the actual nursing school yet it’s just the program with the pre reqs” I’m not sure what that means but she said it’s not the MDE program. Phew!

Hey there! I'm Christina and new here but I've read every message and have been following this thread for a few weeks now. There have been plenty of occasions where people have given out false information and most of you have politely corrected them and gave them grace. We literally come here for updates, and regardless of this being false, all srt0916 did was try and give us that. We are all playing the waiting game but some of you need to have more faith in yourselves. The truth is we won't all get our decisions on the same day at the same time so this will happen again, and you need to know that regardless of what so-and-so got you're going to be good.
