Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

Needless to say, everyone is ANXIOUS to find out whether or not they get accepted. The fact is CUSON hasn't posted a timeline and supposedly the first round will be released in December before the holidays.

We can be confident in our ability to get in and anxious at the same time. Our future life is depending on it.

Hey guys, my name is Ashton I haven't spoken up here before and I was planning on making my entrance on a lighter note but this feels too important to pass up. I'll try and make this quick. 

1. Anxiety is definitely a mental health issue but I agree with Christina, it doesn't justify a lot of the combative responses.

2. Whoever gets accepted into this program will be part of a community that fosters support, not tearing each other down. We can disagree with each other and still show respect.

I just want to say, I don’t think anyone was being intentionally “rude” when they asked for receipts about people already getting acceptances. This whole forum would’ve been flooded with notifications and thats what they were trying to avoid by asking for solid proof since Columbia did not even send out a timeline email. No one has anything against this person, they just wanted clarification since it was pretty random. A lot of people on this thread, including myself have a lot of anxiety about this whole application, especially due to the influx of applications this year really played a tole because everyone is worrying. I personally created this 2021 mde thread for a positive purpose.  Everyone’s nerves are up the wall and its a sensitive time right now. We are the potential 2021 cohort so there shouldn’t be any bad blood way before school begins. @srt0916 if your feelings were hurt in any way, or felt attacked that was never the intention, no one is upset at you, so I apologize!

Hello, I am a long-time reader but a first-time poster. I am not sure if anyone else has received this message from Columbia stating their application has passed the initial review and is being reviewed by the admission committee. 

I am not sure if someone has answered this.... Does Columbia review all applications first and then decide who to take or do they take them as applications are reviewed.

@Mamba21 I believe most of us received that email by now - hopefully. Just waiting on that timeline email. And as far as how that process works, I am not sure. They never mentioned if they’re going to review all applications first then make a decision. But all I know is that the decisions will be sent out in rounds. Supposedly by this month before Christmas. ( I think) but they haven’t sent out the timeline email yet so I don’t really have high hopes about hearing back soon ??‍♀️.

@Elizabethg @Mamba21 hey there! Sorry for my confusion.. I received the "Holiday Schedule and Updates" email but not the email that my application passed the initial review and is being reviewed.. Should I be concerned?
