How is this possible if we havent received a timeline yet of when decisions are coming out?

Apparently some people heard back already

I am assuming you are just trying to be informative.

This whole process has been giving all of us added anxiety and it would totally not be cool if you are stirring the pot here.

Umm I really don’t think so because they haven’t even released a timeline for expected acceptances/rejections

So many people are really counting on this acceptance. For many this is the only program they are applying to. Not everyone as the luxury or the funds to move to a different state for school. I really hope you are being honest.

Did anyone receive this email earlier today?

“We hope that you have a good and safe Thanksgiving Holiday with your loved ones.  Please note, that our offices closed today at noon and will closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday break.

We understand on your end the variables to consider when choosing your future path.  Know that we will keep you updated as much as possible.

If you are completing fall classes, please update your application via your status page.  Here you will be able to upload transcripts that we will consider in your candidacy.  As you are aware, we are working remotely and are unable to accommodate phone calls or walk ins, but welcome your questions via email, [email protected].

Sincerely,

(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)”

I of course don't want to freak anyone out - she could be lying for all I know. but she posted that she got into columba nursing. did anyone else hear anything?

I received it. Based on what admissions has said I think it's highly unlikely that they would send out acceptances this early.

I sincerely highly doubt this is the case, ask that person to provide you with a screenshot of their acceptance letter. Historically Columbia has released decisions in late January or early February and they have never erred from that, much less now that they have more applicants to review and they are working hard enough as it is to get all of our reviews done carefully and holistically. I know this from experience and knowing previous students who attended and are currently attending Columbia. For a school of their reputation, they wouldn't do this to students, a timeline would need to be released which they haven't done so yet. Perhaps the person confused the email that we received about passing their initial review as an acceptance and that's not the case. All in all, please stop providing and spreading misinformation that you yourself can't confirm. Have a good day.
