Hi guys!
I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.
I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.
So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe
Hey evrybody!
Thank you so much OEW for all the great info! its really helpful! I hope everyone else isnt going as crazy as I am waiting for an acceptance. But fortunately we know it cant be more than another couple weeks away at most! I call MDC at least once a week, the concensus this week is that we should have an answer by the end of this month! That leaves 12 days to go! This sounds about right seeing is how they already have the orientation scheduled for mid december! Wish I had better news to contribute to you all! But with this school, you can never trust what they tell you at advisment! Wish everyone the best of luck! Keep checking those emails!

Wow, wait.
The orientation is mid December? Not November?
Oreintation in Mid-NOVEMBER? This is crazy! How can they give students only about two weeks to get the medical records,2 medical test at least 3 days apart, backround check, and CPR clases done in that time frame. Not to mention the money we need to dish out to get everything done in two weeks + acceptance fee.
It would be cutting it way to close for some of us that are currently enrolled in school (l assume many of us are) and also work 40 hrs +.
They need to send these letters ASAP not wait till Novemeber because we need to arrange our time schedule to fit all of this in.
I say we start calling and harrasing them about the time contraints they are putting us through due to their lack of decision making. How hard can it be to insert some figures into a program and pick the top 150 scores.
(Does it sound like I am desperate to know? That may be cuz I AM!!!!!)
im going crazy too neyla!!!!!!! This is ridiculous already! Imagine the wait if they accepted more students!!!!! I hate this wait, its killing me. Im sick of checking my email! I am going to Halloween horror nights next week and this is all im going be thinking about! I HATE THIS!!! JUST TELL ME ALREADY!!!!! Blissbery im doing generic and bridge sorry no accelerated!!!
Blissberry,It looks like you are one in a few, which is a good thing maybe not that many people applied for it so you have a better chance!!
Wish you the best
I found that people try to avoid taking such a big load. it is kind of intimidating to have over 20 credits in the first semester. I have been volunteering at a cardiac cath lab at Mount Sinai, and met an accelerated grad there. He actually said it wasn't that bad. What he did was record every lecture and listen to them on the way home. he told me not to panic. And he got hired at a cath lab RIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL this year.
Hello everyone
im new to the forum. I also applied to Generic Fulltime for Spring. This waiting period has been very nerve wrecking, I guess its bc we just all want to know if we got accepted. Quick question? Why are we taking another ATI test after orientation. Does this mean another teas test?

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who are contributing to this thread. I've just begun taking my prerequisits, still have next semester to go (hopefully). It's difficult going back to school after 15 years but I'm doing it.
I would really love hearing who got in and with what grades when that happens.
Thank you again,
Josh
