MDC Spring 2012 :)

Hi guys!

I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.

I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.

So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe

ohh great now the mdc website is down!! i cant get into my email....hey anybody know how to add the mdc email to a blackberry i cant seem to do it

FYI; I called the MDC School of Nursing to see when they anticipate sending the acceptance letters and they advised it will probably be the end of Otober.:mad:. I cant beleive it would take so long but this is what they told me.

I wouldn't take it as a sure thing by any means. Lots of different answers from lots of folks. Just consider it more time to knock some stuff out, like your CPR-BLS cert, and your first TB test, since you need 2 of them.

Also you can refresh your Anatomy and Chemistry to prepare for school. I really don't think it will be that long, but who knows. We'll get there eventually!

When do you guys think is a good time to begin with the shots? I sometimes worried that I'm anticipating myself a little bit.

I'm actually going to call this week to make appointments for all that stuff for a couple weeks from now. That way I still have time to receive the confirmation email, and time to cancel the appointments if I don't receive one..

If you're going to do one thing right away, I think it would be the first TB test since you need two of them. I have also heard that the background check can take quite awhile, so that will probably be the first thing to jump on once you do get accepted.

Hey guys, I called the school today to find out when the acceptance letters will be sent out. The lady I spoke with said that they were just told today that they would go out a month from today! I am really hoping that this information is incorrect, but with MDC you really never know. Hope everyone is hanging in there. I know Im going crazy with anticipation. Registration for spring starts next week... Oh well- Just thought I would share the information, again- hopefully its wrong! Happy waiting to all of you!

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this, but also applied to accelerated and generic.

GPA 4.0, TEAS 84%, so the magic number is 90.4

I've been told mid-October for decision. Can't wait to meet my new classmates. This is going to be so much fun! Hopefully, we will all get in!

madarmes: A month? I cannot believe this! I'm gonna go crazy if I have to wait a month! I really hope that they are mistaken.

Hopefully in a few weeks top we'll receive those letter! :D
