MDC Spring 2012 :)

Hi guys!

I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.

I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.

So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe

Thank you Yisy, how much does the CPR class cost? Is there any place that anyone knows that you can do the CPR course for free?

The one I registered for was $75. There is a cheaper one $69.00, but the schedules weren't good for me!

And no...I don't know of any place where you can do it for free! :)

I'm pretty sure that for the BLS/Healthcare Providers course, there's no getting around that fee. It's a more intensive course than regular CPR.

Lol Pinky your right I always see new messages thinking its related to the nursing program and then I find out its a bunch of other stuff.

Ok thanks I guess I have no choice I checked the courses, but I only see the homestead campus one available...I rather do it at the medical or kendall campus.

AlexLL there are a bunch of CPR classes at the medical and Kendall campus. Maybe you checked the wrong schedules. Go to the MDC page, then look for a link "Continuing Education" Then click Health Care Programs and then CPR FOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS. There you should find all the classes. I'm going to give you the link anyways..so check it out again. :)

Yisy your the best I was completely on the wrong page. I signed up for the Oct. 22 class at Kendall Campus quick question do you happen to know if I get CPR certified anywhere else will it be good enough for Miami Dade?

:) You can get certified wherever you see fit, but you have to make sure that you get the CPR-BLS for Health Care Providers. I don't know what is it but if it's not BLS they don't accept it. Don't ask me :nono: what the BLS stands for because I don't have a clue! lol.
