So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.
So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.
Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!
Hi everyone! I'm currently in the Generic Full time program and was in your same exact shoes a few months ago! Have faith and be confident!! I wish you all the best and hope you all get in! If there are any questions I can answer for you, feel free to ask. :)
Hello! Thanks for offering! I have some questions, I think the answers will be helpful to all on this thread.
What is your weekly schedule like? I'm assuming you're in first semester?
Have you started clinicals yet? If not when will you start? If you have already started clinicals, I have more questions! :)
What are the initial costs that we need to be thinking about? Ie stethoscope, uniforms, watch with second hand, etc? I'd like to get a head start on finding the best prices for that stuff.
How are you finding the workload?
What size are your classes? Are you with the same people always?
How many dropouts have there been thus far in your cohort?
Have they started talking to you about nclex prep yet? A friend of mine in accelerated told me that nclex passing rate for generic is 60%, is that true?
How are the instructors? Are they accessible, friendly?
What has been your biggest adjustment to make regarding the way you study?
What is the male to female ratio in your classes?
Do you wear scrubs to class? Is there a classroom dress code?
Is there a gym at the medical campus? (I'm just assuming you're at med campus)
Is there anything else, that you have been surprised by?
Thanks! :)

Thank you for helping us!
So of course all this waiting and constant checking for updates makes you become a bit delirious. I went ahead and looked back at previous posts and it seems first emails get sent on a Thursday (last 2 cycles have been that way) So with that being said, we should be hearing from MDC THIS Thursday because it marks the 6 weeks of our deadline. Btw, anyone else here applying for the transitional program?

If I'm not mistaken, the AO is 3 semesters and the Generic FT is 4 semesters.
This waiting game is not fun!
