MDC Nursing spring 2014

Published

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

MDC is a mess. If you're going there you must know this going into the program.

Can you answer this question? Why is it that for the first semester in the bridge program full-time their are 50 seats in NUR1002 but as you get into the second and third semester the courses have less than the original 50 seats they first started with. Shouldn't everyone be on the same pace as you progress thru the program? Or is this because they are expecting to students to fall or get kicked out the program?

So I just spoke to an advisor at medical campus and was told the emails wont be sent out until late October, early november.

If you look at Generic PT - Admission Information - Miami Dade College orientation is November 22 for the part time program, so I believe that they'll start sending out the first round emails by the end of this week since there are quite a few things that must be done before the orientation date.

they said the same thing last year about the emails not being sent out until late octover/november and then students recieved emails the next day. they're probably just saying anything to try to get people to stop calling.

They always say the same thing, it is just for us to stop calling. But every year they send the emails six weeks after the application deadline, and if this year is the same then that will be this week. I have a feeling that it will be this Thursday.:)

I hope you guys are right. :)

Thank you for this link. After the orientation, I see that there's a Pearson Testing Session. Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Higher education is a very lucrative business. I have had my share of issues with each higher education institution (FGCU and FIU) I have attended, MDC among them. I'm sure they are no exception to the mess but it sure is kinder on my wallet, especially if you no longer have scholarships and grants to back you up.

It is definitely easier on the wallet. The teachers are honestly not bad, but the structure needs a lot of work. Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

When I submitted my application back in August I was told the same thing for the full-time bridge.

If we start January 2014, when do we graduate?

Depends on your program. I chose part time generic and the program is 2 years and 8 months long (sigh) so I'd graduate in September 2016 then... (sigh again)
