MDC Nursing spring 2014

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

Hi there,

It's really nice of you to start this blog, and I believe many like me will benefit from it.

I really needed someone to help me out with the TEAS, so I think we might be in the same boat.

I am currently taking classes at Broward College, but I am thinking of transferring to MDC because I hear a lot of good news about their nursing programs. My GPA, as of right now, is 3.74, and I hope by the end of this semester it will go up a little bit.

So dcepero90, I am really interested in studying with you for the TEAS. When do you plan to start? By the way, my weakest area is reading.

Hi good luck cookie2002 !! Your teas score is pretty high any advice on studying?

Hey everyone ! I recently found out about MDC's Nursing program and i'm very excited in applying. I have a science gpa of 3.47 which worries me because I know it's not very good! I was also wondering if anyone knows where I can pick up used teas material to save money than buying it online brand new! It would also be nice to start a study group and I'm very interested in doing so. Good luck to everyone (:

To have a competitive score you should aim for an 86 or above teas. :)

Thank u! I'm going to try my best!(:

Well I'm willing to study with anyone I'm aiming to get a 90% on my teas retake!!

I'm glad you started this topic. I have been waiting for a Spring 2014 post to pop up. I'm taking the TEAS for the first time on July 25th. I had to retake Chemistry and lab this semester since MDC would only accept Chem for Heath Sciences. I got an A for both last time so I better get an A again this time around or I will be mad. IF I get As this time I will have a 3.57 gpa. I'm thinking that means I need an 80% + on the TEAS to be competitive.

Good luck on your teas!!!

What program are you applying to? I had an 82 on TEAS and A's in all my science courses except for a B in chemistry and I got into bridge, generic (medical), and generic (homestead). Spring is a little easier to get into I think because of lack of applicants, and the bridge is pretty easy to get into overall.
