@ bsartor I will defiantly heed your words since, for me, figuring out how to study for each class I take is usually what gets me low scores in the beginning of each class, until I am able to adjust. Thank you!!! :)

@cupcake428 I would suggest using another source. I did my whole check-up with the wellness center me I regret it. The wait time averages about 2 hours and they are very disorganized (probably the lack of staff). The place was always full everytime I went!!! I read on here that at any other location the wait is merely minutes. If you already paid like I had done and are basically stuck with them, then I suggest getting there before they open so that you may be the first one signing in. That flyer that is in the nursing website has other locations that offer the same package deals. I suggest any of those over MDC wellness center.

I saw two people yesterday leaving the wellness center with their first PPD shots early in the morning ( I asked one of them and she confirmed it). They told me they were out as well and I would have to return another day. I wish I would have done it somewhere else but i think it might be too late to switch.

Ok, so today totally sucked! I signed in at the medical campus wellness center at 9:50am. I went in for my results (I had gotten my second PPD on friday of last week). After waiting until 12:25pm (I'm not even exaggerating, I waited that long!!!), I got called in. While getting examined by the doctor, he asked me when I went in for the second PPD and I said friday. He then started ranting about how it was possible that I was the 4th person that day that had gone in on friday for their 2nd PPD and the results weren't in the system. He asked me about friday and I told him what happened: the girl called the 2nd PPD people in the back, did the test and wrote on which arm the second test was performed...and that was all. He asked me if she examined my arm for the results of the 1st PPD, and I said the truth...she didn't. As a result, I have to get another PPD test because the doctor refused to sign my result papers. I honestly had no idea about the details of the test and how time sensitive it was but, as the conversation proceeded, I knew I could lie and make my life easier...but I didn't...should I have lied? One other thing is bothering me...when I asked about the TB vaccine I was told that I would only get that should my immune system is compromised. Along with my failed PPD results, I got my blood-work back. They told me that I don't have any antibodies for varicella (makes sense since I've never had the chicken pox, I could have told them that) and for Hepatitis B (I could have also told them that) so I was given a list of clinics where I need to get these. So, the $225 is for the test...not the vaccines!!! Once again, things didn't get properly explained... me: hello ma'am, does this package cover everything MDC requires?...lady at the wellness center: Yes Obviously that's no correct! BTW: should you require the varicella vaccine like I do, it is $110 per series (its a 2 series vaccine) and the HepB is $58 per series (its a 3 series vaccine) at the clinics they refer you to.

@AMP31 IDK about lab coats, or if we need them but the scrubs seem to be unisex. They are also kinda ugly

FYI: I did the CPR/BLS class today at the MDC medical campus. Although I bought the required book, a lot of students didn't because they said the book store ran out of copies. As a result, the teacher let them stay in the class and we proceeded without EVER using the book.

They have the nursing kits available for a measly $99 (shooooot meeee!). They also won't have the x-small scrub set until next month (only the white clinical top). They seem to have every other size though.

@ariestwin thanks for the info. I honestly haven't had the time to call but I had already paid the $40 for the stupid CDF.

@Doingit yes that's what it seems we need to do. I had paid my $60 and done my appointment for Tuesday for my fingerprints. I went, got that done and was told nothing about DCF letter. I saw, after someone on here pointed it out, that it also said we need a CDF letter. So I had to go online, pay another $40 and made my appointment for this Friday. sucks It seems we are up to ~ $500 $100 for accepting $79 for the CPR/BLS class $225 for the physical and titers $58 for background check and fingerprints $40 for DCF letter *sigh* and I'm still missing the book for the CPR/BLS class, the scrubs and equipment, what else??? Sheesh
