MDC Fall 2011 =)

Published

Hi guys! Who else is applying for MDC Fall 2011?

I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!

I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol

Well good luck to us all! :heartbeat

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know of a inexpensive place or doctor that will do the physical and TB test and the titers. Thank you in advance for your quick response. By the way I was accepted on the LPN progam because I had applied to both the RN full generic and LPN. Last week was accepted to the Full time generic and just yesterday I declined the LPN so there should be another seat available. :D

Yes, Congratulations!! YAY! see you at orientation :nurse:

Can we get a list together of the people who are going to the generic full time program? It would be nice to consolidate the names and then, maybe, we can plan to meet there at orientation? We should pin our chat names on our shoulders! lol

Pixiemom: I had the surgery in both hands already. Your surgery should be outpatient and go home the same day with pain killers for the 1st couple of days. If you are R-Handed, start writing with your left now and practice, practice, because it will be a challenge if you wait till surgery day to figure out how to even write your name with your L-Hand. Remember to do your post surgery therapy. This therapy will expedite your recovery. Even if it hurts, do the exercises they ask you to do and do them at home also. Recovery was about 3-4 weeks to begin using a pen. But being able to open a jar took a little longer. Good Luck in your Surgery!

GMarie7,

Thank you for your response. It definitely gives me an idea of what to expect. I have to have both hands and middle fingers (trigger fingers) operated on, but, obviously, I will do the right hand first as it's my dominant hand. Did you do surgery on both hands within a short span of time? I need to do my left hand too, but I guess I have to wait until nursing school is finished.

i was just thinking that :p about the list anyway lol! maybe closer to orientation. there is a possibility that more people will join on here and announce their acceptance!

Fcat, I just called mdc and was told all letters will be out by the end of july! I'm in the same boat as you, just waiting and its driving me crazy!

doesn't that seem too late...school will start mid august

That makes sense. How about if we do a "roll call" beginning that Friday before orientation? Whoever remember first can start it?

did they give you a deadline to accept or decline? when is your orientation? I am still waiting :( i dont think i will get in because it seems like other ppl got their letters and the seats are taken

For all the accelerated ppl who got in when is your orientation??? I am still waiting I dont think I will get in because they are taking forever. Do they have a spring session for the accelerated program? I might have to apply again

yea! sounds good =D haha. you think we should start a generic f/t thread? what do you think? bc there is a p/t one and it seems like a good idea

Yes I agree that is late! But everytime they send out letters and people decline, that's more acceptance letters they have to send out. Just a big cycle until they fill all seats.

I will be starting the Transitional-Bridge Full Time program in the FALL 2011, Can anyone send me the list of professors to take: good vs bad? Also, textbooks and any items I will need

Does anyone know if the Workforce scholarship is applicable to Transitional-Bridge students?
