Hi guys! Who else is applying for MDC Fall 2011?
I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!
I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol
Well good luck to us all! :heartbeat
I haven't received anything from MDC, not even a rejection letter, I am starting to worry about especially because I am out of the country, and it is very expensive to call. Can anyone tell me if I call the medical campus they will be able to tell me in what position I am, meaning that if I got accepted, just didnt happen to receive anything or if I will be getting my rejection letter soon, I am very worried. Did anyone received any rejection letters/emails???
FCAT,
honestly don't waste your money on calling. I called Tuesday and they told me that there was no one there who knows anything and are not able to tell us where we stand. Really? you're telling me the department responsible for advisment and our application at some point don't know anything at all?! Then i spoke to Reba because i was told she might be able to give me further information, she took 2 days to call me back. Then she told me its a computer that generates the list, so she "has no idea". Apparently everyone in that department is clueless because they don't want to be bothered. but i'm actually going to the medical campus today, let them try to avoid me now!
I'll inform you on any news they give me.
You better believe it total bella! At my hospital they hire them very fast. They're like, did you graduate from MDC? Okay, you start next Monday. And you, you said you graduated from UM? We'll let you know. In the meantime, find ways to pay that loan you still owe them.MDC is the way bella. Love what you do-Blackberry motto. Get paid-Lil Wayne. Do both-Me!
You are too funny!! LOL thanks for the clarification. I was hoping THAT rumor was true about MDC grads..lol:D
Do both! LOL
Hello Everyone,Does anyone know of a inexpensive place or doctor that will do the physical and TB test and the titers. Thank you in advance for your quick response. By the way I was accepted on the LPN progam because I had applied to both the RN full generic and LPN. Last week was accepted to the Full time generic and just yesterday I declined the LPN so there should be another seat available.
Hi and CONGRATS!
MY doc does all three for 220.00. Search through the posts and you can get his contact info. I am doing the last TB test on Monday and everything else has gone smooth sailing with them.

I originally was going to the accelerated program, but changed to generic at the last minute. The accelerated has orientation on the 11th and 12th. The generic is the 18th, 19th. The deadline for the responses are due at different times, for example, the first round of acceptance letter responses were due July 5. I don't know when the second round came out, but they would have had a different response date. They are still sending out emails as people respond. Remember that many people applied for two or three programs, and the nursing school has to go through those and come up with a new list. I think that there is only one accelerated program per year - I think.
