I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!
I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol
btw,do we need to create an ati account that's different from the one we created for the teas?
i'm not going to create another one. we have to take an assessment test administered by ati on the 2nd day of orientation (july 19 for full-time) and if it's ati they will just tell us to log in like we did for the teas and then give us some special code to put in to take the assessment. if anything, we can ask the 1st day of orientation (for peace of mind) because the ati assessment is on the 2nd day anyway, so if we do need to create another one we can do it that night...but i really doubt we'll need to.
what do you think? i have read that many nursing students/nurses use iphones to keep their reference materials and such on hand and up to date. i have an android which i think can do the same. but i've also read that some hospitals frown on you taking out your phone - i guess they assume you're using for personal reasons. should i invest in an itouch instead? that way i don't have to carry all of my reference books to clinicals, for example.

MY doc does all three for 220.00. Search through the posts and you can get his contact info. I am doing the last TB test on Monday and everything else has gone smooth sailing with them.

Never long line. No appointment needed varicella, rubeola titer, mumps titer, rubella titer and hepatitis titer all 40 each. Or you can go to a lab. drug test 35. physical exam 45. So 200 for all titers. Hep B vaccine if you want to get instead of paying for titer go to health department. Really you only need 160 if you you've never gotten hep b and than the two ppd or tiberculosus (can;t spell) are $25 each. so 210 for everything but hep b. If got vaccine before 250 plus physical is 295.

I had applied to the part-time program with a 3.82 GPA and TEAS of 78.7. The reason I am posting my scores again is because I have read a post by someone new on this forum and under the part-time forum and this person has supposedly been accepted to the part-time program with a GPA of 3.26 and a TEAS of 63. Not that I'm not happy for this person but something is not right!! Do you think this person is being sincere?? I have been through a lot these past 5 years and so have my kids and I am not in the mood to be jerked around by MDC or this person if he's joking around!! After the death of my husband and father of my children I went back to school for a better life and have been trying to ensure my success in school so that I might have a chance to be a nurse and then I read that this person gets in with a 3.26 and 63 on the TEAS??!!? I just want everyone's opinion on what I should do. I don't want to take away the opportunity from someone else I just think things should be fair.

They may have taken maybe more classes like micro lab and take the bachelors requirements or intro to health. I don't know i don't think its teas and gpa alone that's why they never tell you.
