Yes, I sent my husband out to Binson's to get one and he came home with one that costs $40 and didn't say one way or the other if it was latex free or not. BUT went to Macomb book store and they have them there for I think it was $25.

Make sure you return the one from binsons I called, and asked them if they had any latex free they said no. So that one probably isn't. I was able to get one for $27 at this store called advanced medical supplies at 23 and Van Dyke. Thank you though.:wink2:

Is anyone else having a hard time finding a latex free bp cuff? Does anyone know where to find one?

I got the one from the MCC bookstore for 23 bucks

The system set up for FA and getting books is BS. Just saying.

I filled out a thing for the book advance and I still don't have any money on my account. Luckily, I got a few of the books used, elsewhere.

Which books do you still need? Email me privately if you want to.

Also, I asked earlier if anyone else filled out the form we were given for the Michigan Nurses Scholarship and if anyone had heard anything about it. I still haven't but I looked on the State of Michigan website about this scholarship and it states on the site that the schools are responsible for determining who they give these funds to based on whatever criteria they choose (i.e. financial need, grades, or how far along the person is in the program). Well, has anyone received anything from this?

I haven't heard anything about that scholarship.

I called the FA office again yesterday and after I explained that I had like 11 chapters I had to read before Monday, they put it through. 20 minutes before they closed.

I should be able to pick up everything else today. Unfortunately I get to drag 4 kids under the age of 7 down there to do it. This should be fun. :( Sorry for whining. I am pretty anxious and this whole FA thing is just making it worse!

Well, I have pretty much been having a nervous breakdown along with self doubts since I got the syllabi. Can I do this? Have I just wasted $2000? I have been freaking out to say the least. Wishing I was starting in October or January or March. :bluecry1: Is this just me? Everytime I start to do the reading I am interrupted or something happens. My brother had a stroke last Saturday is just one of many things.

Oh, I am sorry Nell. Is he OK??

YOU CAN DO THIS. You are a smart lady and we will all get through it together. You aren't alone, even if it seems like it right now. :)

The first section isn't bad at all, don't stress yet!

I had it today. It was really laid back and easy. We just went over the handouts and handwashing/activity and watched some videos. It made me a little less nervous, but I am still pretty scared and overwhelmed about 1510 and 1520. Everyone in my lab was really nice (there's only like 7 people). It will be fine!
