Hey everyone!
Thought I would start a thread where we can keep up with all the fun new and exciting things coming our way! We'll get to meet each other in a few days (May 20th)! So, how shall we identify ourselves to one another? Hum...
Anyway, look forward to meeting you all! I'm excited about the Nursing Orientation!
thanks nell!!!!! :yeah:so that was all in the "mystery bag" lol lol lol.so, i was online and happened to go to barnes and noble. i was looking for a book that the campus bookstore has to order. when i punched in the name of the book. i got this message: note: [color=#ae340e]just announced -- for a limited time, all customers receive the discounted member price plus free shipping on new textbooks!
[color=#ae340e]so, this text book was $118.00 in our bookstore. the member price right now at barnes and nobel online was $72.20 so, for you that are looking for a few ways to save a little money here or there on books, this offer is good until i believe sept. 25th. this book alone was $50 off from our campus bookstore price with the deal. it's only good on textbooks, there is a place where you can click on for more details.
oh and there is a website called chegg.com they rent school textbooks. i did not look at our whole list of books required, but you can check it out if you want. you can rent them for 60 days, a quarter or a semester... i think the quarter price for the $118.00 book was $47? you can't keep the book... but if you need to save some money right now, might be another option.
i just went to barnesandnoble.com and i saved a total of $40 on my order. (i bought health assessment for nursing practice, make sure you get the one with the lab dvd set, and i got clinical calculations) definitely worth it.
Anyone who starts in august....since there is special start and end time for 1520 because of labor day....is there a different start time for 1510? Or do we just show up at 9?
I assume we just show up at 9am unless otherwise instructed. Does anyone else start 1530 this week or is it just those of us in the Friday class? I think I am finally ready, supplies-wise anyway!
I started the pre-class reading and assignments for 1510 and 1530. I hope to see some of you in the classes on Monday!
