apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....

im taking my nclex on the 7th of may...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......

oh geez! letjackson hang in there i know(easier said than done) but like many on this board use the forums to regain your strength and confidence back.. what strategies did you use to study this time around? this exam just sucks!:angryfire

just found out i did not pass had 265 question that was my 5th time donot know what to do results says near passing for all areas. feeling so sad feel like giving up

on my first take..i read saunders cover to cover and even attended review class. answer questions. this time around, i do questions and after so review the subject even if i got more than 85% of the test. i had kaplan strat, saunders book, kaplan med flash cards, mosby review questions, hurst review, all the books comes in cd. review class. it's really hard, having to take the test up to the maximum number of questions..and just give you the near passing standard result. what am i going to do with that result? it really sucks..i dont even know what they want you to proved to them. i just had a talk to my uncle (he's a doctor) and he's always there to encourage me. he told me that the test is really tricky..and he saw the questions i had and he told me that there's some questions too that the test give to them as they took it on their boards. he told me some of his colleagues had to take it for 6x..and it's not funny at all. he told me that though you didn't pass the test it doesn't mean you don't know anything and you don't know what to do when you're already in the area..i went to the hospital when i was an intern for more than a month. i don't wanna go to the floor where i had it. my uncle keeps on telling me..here in america..you passed the test just once, then you'll have all. the opportunity will come to you. just once, yet you have to suffer. but he told me though i had to take it more than once, the eagerness i had, the esteem to make it, makes me more of a person. you persevere that gives you a character, then character brings hope. this is way too long for a post..sorry. but yeah..i'll pray for you too boobol07

I'm sorry I don't know. I've heard Kaplan is pretty good. What did you do the first time? I did the Saunders book and vowed that if I flunked I would do Kaplan to have something different to do.

i havent recieved my result yet.Im planning to review again just in case I failed..The kaplan is kind of expensive..Im thinking if Im gonna try ncsbn:D

I didn't spend alot of money on a review, I just did the NCSBN review, used my Kaplan CD, and the nclex 3500 questions, I tried to do at least 100 per day, IMO the NCSBN helped the most, alot of my NCLEX questions seem to run similar to those.

Your Uncle sounds so supportive and he really gave you great advice. Take a load off your heart and go to a movie or something. And keep coming back here so we can encourage you some more :icon_hug:
