May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....

im taking my nclex on the 7th of may...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......

My NCLEX date is May 14.

Woohoo, but also very scary.

Any chance of any May NCLEXers who are fellow Pagans like me?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say "hey!" :) I just rescheduled my test today from April to the end of May because I'm totally not ready. I just moved last week Friday, so I haven't been studying the past week like I should. :/ Eek!

Good Morning May NCLEX-RN test takers, I guess I will get on with it and let everyone here know that I'm going to re-take the exam again. I have been reading alot of post on this site since I failed back in Dec. 07 and have been inspired by all the postive posts and encouragement from others here. I was working as a RN-Applicant then failed the test with 265 questions:crying2:. I have since lost a little motivation until rescently. I was looking for people to assist me in this journey only to realize I need to do this myself. I've had people to tell me that they are going to help me study and get through only to have them not help at all. No hard feelings towards those people it was just my ahha moment. Today I am good I have started studying more and alone, my co-workers ask me when I'm going to retest I just tell them I will let you know when I pass. Just don't need a lot of indirect negative energy. So I'm here to say that I'm taking the NCLEX in May no I don't have a date but I plan on testing the second week in May. So wish me luck and Good Luck to ALL of you who are waiting to test also.

yes, i know the feeling about the co-worker thing..when i failed the first time back in jan-everyone was like, you will get it next time , my boss, freinds everyone-they said "you are one of the best nurses that we have seen, " my fellow students from school that worked on my floor with me that passed said-"jon, we may have passed the test but we know that you do (this)--(reffering to floor nursing)-better that any of us

so i went on a leave of absense (still dont see why we have to forfeit our RNIP--really dumb) anyway--with that i was inspired to have all those people behind me

then i failed again in march-

my boss said she could no longer hold my RN job, cause our floor is really busy and the nurses needed a body there right now to help them-iu totally understand-so i had to resign--but she said, once i get my liscence i go back that day and get my job back.

my mistake is that , like you everyone (co-workers, classmates who had passed, freinds and teachers) kept asking my wife-who works in the same hospital--we ALL work there, anyway they kept asking her "when is jon testing again" ?-over and over-and on the second time i told everyone the day ! feeling that i would pass that time-

after the failure the second time, i was-bummed but ok--a veteran nurse of 20+years that i worked with, a great nurse-sent me an email--(i made a copy and am going to take it with me to the test)

it was about 2 pages long-and she said that no one knew that she failed 6 TIMES !--and she is like one of the best nurses i know, everyone respects her , she knows her stuff.--she told me that the "hard" part of being a nurse is already done

we passed our pre-reqa

we got accepted in a highely competative feild of nursing schools

we passed clinical without injuring anyone

we passed nursing school

she said to think about the hundreds/thousands of people that would gladly change positions with me-in a heart beat. she says everyone eventually passed the nclex in time-

and you know what-shes right.

yeah, i still see my friends from school-(about 70% of them work at the same hospital)--i just tell them "ill see them soon"--

this next time im not going to tell anyone (except in here :) my next test date-which is in 2 1/2 weeks on may 7th.

I WILL pass this test.

Same here Jon, during my first take, almost everybody knew that I will be taking it...everyone was asking me my result.....and it was 2 agonizing weeks before I had it because I test fo CA....

Now, my second time, nobody knew when I will retake....I just told them, I will retake the test....and i will just let everone know that I pass this time.

Yes, May NCLEX Takers will pass this time.

you are so right:up:, we all need support:redbeathe and it's a great help but at the end, it's really us who can help ourselves...

i'm reviewing on my own and there are times when its hard to have self-discipline, and every time, i have to remind myself about my one big goal, which is ofcourse to pass the nclex and become a licensed :nurse:

i also make sure that i copy and print the notes posted as well as the words of encouragement of all those who passed...we all need a bunch of luck, but most of all, we need a great deal of motivation and lotttsss of prayers!

That was sooooooo nice of you to post thoses passages from the Bible..thanks we all need the help of GOD or a Higher power whether we want to believe it or not.:saint:..I am a first time nclex-taker and i'm soo nervous and irritated at times:no::clown:..but i have to be disciplined about studying, i've found so many words of encouragements on this board..you guys are AWESOME and YEs we will pass...

i don't know if i'm the only one i sit here and dream about seeing those 2 words after my name..and i can't wait to tell everyone that im officially a:nurse:

well. you have to pm suzanne regarding that...but i thinkk she wont be able to help you because it is a 45 day studying before you test and according to her, her next schedule for emails of her second tip is by May 1.... but, still try to contact her. who knows....

Are you replying to me? I've already studied 3 mos and am done. I was just curious. I don't have any need to do those tips. I took an NCLEX class.

Hey May NCLEX takers...Has anyone ever taken the ATI review course??

ifso what did you think about it? was it helpful?

Also just got my ATT ....Set my date for May 20,2008.I'm so nervous ...even though it's a month away...But I have FAith inthe Lord (that he will see me threw the test.)and I have really beening study MUCH harder this time (w/Suz. 1st tip,and the Saunder's Nclex reviewbook and questions).

i am studying saunders too, iam doing system by system....and bought the book Exam Cram....its great too.... someone from this forum used that before her test, just for review....and she passed....

We will pass this test....with Gods guidance and in His time.....
