  1. I'm set to go independent some time in January. How scary! Anyway, I had a minor problem a couple weeks ago when I had strep throat, so I had to take 2 days off. I took my antibiotics and I was better. Yesterday, my sore throat came back again, plus a weird rash. Now I have mono. Figures. I'm in the middle of orientation and I'm most likely gonna have to take a couple weeks off to recover. This sucks. What did I do to deserve this?
  2. I forgot about this thread! haha Thank you everyone!!! I'm so happy! :)
  3. Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to be starting my first RN job soon and I'm terrible with money! I have to pay back my parents for a bunch of stuff first, but after that, most of it is going into savings so I can get the heck out of here! :)
  4. I'm so excited!!! I'll be working on a GI/Medical floor. I'm so happy. I passed NCLEX at the end of May and now FINALLY I can practice as an RN! I am really nervous though! It's been a while since I graduated school. I LOVE learning, so I know it won't be a problem. Plus once I get on the floor, I'm sure it'll all come back to me once I get going.
  5. Thanks everyone! Now it's time to look for a job. LOL
  6. I took my NCLEX-RN on Thursday last week for the first time. I graduated in December 2007, so I waited a long time before I tested. I had 130 questions. 11 SATA, 3 med calcs, and mostly priority and delegation. I was so sure I failed after I left the testing center, but doesn't everybody? I pretty much partied all weekend to get my mind off of it. LOL Anyway, I logged on today to see if my results were posted. I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stared at the screen for a minute in disbelief and then started shaking and almost started crying. It was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I am sooooooo happy, but yet I am so scared because I have never had any kind of medical job and now I am an RN. o.o
  7. I'm so nervous right now! One of my friends just took the NCLEX-RN for the second time on Monday and failed! Ahhhhhhhh! I'm taking it for the first time on May 22. :stone
  8. Hey everyone! Just wanted to say "hey!" :) I just rescheduled my test today from April to the end of May because I'm totally not ready. I just moved last week Friday, so I haven't been studying the past week like I should. :/ Eek!
  9. Congratulations Larua!!!!
  10. Congratulations Genny! We all knew you would pass!!!!
  11. Hey everyone! My testing date is 2 weeks away and I'm really nervous! I've been studying Saunders for the past week because my Kaplan subscription expired. Right now, I feel as though I'm not ready to test. I have to really pound on peds and maternity. I do pretty well with delegation and prioritizing. I usually get between 80-90% on those. I'm thinking of postponing my test date if I still feel this way at the end of next week. :stone
  12. Pooey. I did a question trainer today and got a 57% on it. Looks like I'll be going over a lot of stuff the next few weeks. Ick.
  13. Hey everyone. I scheduled my test not too long ago for the end of April. I'm super nervous already! At this point, I do not think I'm ready, so if I still feel that way near my testing date, I may reschedule. I just feel so overwhelmed by everything that I need to look over. I have been doing practice exams, but have not been scoring as well as I should. :/ Oh, and I haven't told anyone about my test date in fear of them getting on my case and stuff like that. Let's see how long I can keep the cat in the bag. lol
  14. Thanks for the info. I looked on the website today and it's finally on there, but it says all the requirements are not met. lol They must've just gotten to my application and didn't go through all of it yet.
  15. I sent in my application to the state about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back yet! Just wanted to know how long it took you to get your ATT and stuff (that is, if you sent it in). I'm debating if I should call or email to check the status of my application. I searched for my name in the database and it wasn't in there. *frustrated*
