when do you plan to take the nclex?

sometime in july. i am taking a saunders nclex prep course at the end of june and many people in previous years take their nclex in july.

will you work before you take the boards?

yes, will start preceptorship asap in june!

have you started applying for jobs?

not yet, but soon

where do you plan to work? unit and shift?

probably medical or surgical floor

what gift would you like to give urself?

a vacation!

When do you plan to take the NCLEX?

- I plan on taking the boards in June/July if all goes well.

Will you work before you take the boards?

- Already am as an aide in a hospital. But yes I do plan on working before taking the boards so I can keep my skills up. Been the best thing so far.

Have you started applying for jobs?

- Not yet but already have one lined up.

Where do you plan to work? Unit and shift?

- Same facility I already am working at. I will be working on a med-surg unit, but unsure which one. I do not want nights if i can help it, and prefer evenings, but my facility only does 12hrs, so I plan on doing days.

What gift would you like to give yourself?

- Thats hard, but probably a new phone, or better yet...my BSN and MSN handed to me on a silver platter!

Hopefully in July. I graduate in June but will be finished classes in May.

Will you work before you take the boards?

No, I don't want to get side tracked with "real world skills" vs. "text book skills". Will work as much as I want after passing boards!

Started since I began the first day of my last year as a nursing student!

Where do you plan to work? Unit and shift?

I have accepted a position in the NICU at a Children's Hospital! YAY!! Hopefully I can get an all night position if available but night now it's rotating.

What gift would you like to give yourself?

A condo and a car! Doubt that will be happening though....so I'll settle for a well deserved vacation.

Hopefully I can start the boards sometime in June or July

I accepted an internship in ICU starts JUne 16th working the night shift. Hoping I can take boards before I start working but I doubt it will happen

I am going to get myself a new car considering my job is an hour from where I live

I really want to work in an ICU, so looking for an internship, or even start out in a stepdown unit. :up:

My mom is giving my family a cruise for graduation and my husband just bought me a new-er car. So, can't ask for much more than that. :smokin:

Probably lat may, early juned.

Probably not, it's not allowed in KS anymore, but some hospitals are creating positions to get around that law

I graduate in May...YAY! (OOOO, I RHYMED)

I will take boards ASAP...I hate waiting, I just want to get it over with! I have interviewed a few times...I will most like do Med/Surg, night shift. Later transition into Psychiatric nursing.

I still can't believe it's almost over!!! Hi everyone, I too graduate in May, am req'd to be hired and work 120hours before sitting for boards so I hope to take them within a month or so but I hear the facilities take so long getting their paperwork done to send to the BON for you that it could take a few months just to get an acceptance letter to test. Anyway, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this new license but the closer I get the more I think about going back to LTC. As far as what I want to do for myself, well, I think I would like to take two whole weeks and go away and just relax and be waited on. No studies or anyone asking for anything, I can't imagine not being nervous for that long, it will be amazing.

I graduate May 10th (I can't believe it's about over).

I will go back to Miami to see family and friend for a week after that (and take a cruise).

I will take the NCLEX at the end of May or beginning of June.

I have a Cardiac ICU job lined up, starting on June 9th.

Graduation is May 15th!! :w00t:NCLEX will be ASAP after that- I just want that over with! We're moving from MN to Southern California late July and I'm starting that first RN job on a med/surg floor at a Children's Hospital on August 8th! :nurse:

I would like my gift to myself to be a new car, but I don't think my husband will allow it. So I think it might just be the nice SoCal weather. :weathersunsmall:
