I want to take the LPN route first as I just see it fitting my life at this point. I just want to know a little bit more about these centers I keep hearing about.
Do you have to have any pre req's for them?
How long is the LPN program?
If you went there, Do you have any advice?
cost of LPN program?
Is financial aid offered?
Hours of class?
Do they offer the LPN program at different center's or just one & if so which one?
Times of year the program is offered?
Any feedback from you all would be great as we all know getting info. from future, present or alumni students is SO much more helpful;)
Its now done blocks A,B, and C Block A is Mon- Fri 8-3 skipping every other Friday starting the 22nd of august , thats what the calender i got from the nursing dept said when i went and paid for block A I originally had planned for 8-130 but o well this place hasnt kept to the plan since the get go why start now i just want to finish now and get going take care and good luck :typing
I am in the Aug. class. I jumped through too many hoops to get into this unorganized class. Short of one teacher this school is a hot mess. I have not attended any other nursing programs so I can't compare. I am still completely discouraged. I expected a program that is teaching us to care for people would be a little more together. Especially with what they ask of their students.
I'm sorry you feel this way, but if you started in Aug, then you are in the pre Req class, not in the nursing class's. Things well get better. The Skill Center seems to have issues with that part of thier program..

What's going on? I was supposed to be in that class......maybe it's better I pulled out before it started??
Hi LPN4money,
tell me more about the financial aid.
you said you dont get paid untile 3-4 months after you start the program.
but, do they offer any payment option, though? or do you have to pay the whole tuition for 13 month at one time? how does it work there? since it's not the traditional semester or quarter system...
I am also in the Aug. 08 class here at MSC, and I totally do NOT recommend this school, we have 2 teachers for block 0, one of them just fell off the turnip truck, the other a blessing! Financial aid is a joke, don't expect any money in your pocket for at LEAST 3-4 months into school!!!
I am assuming you mean any "overage" amount of financial aid? Meaning what is left over after paying your tuition? Clearly, they are not making you pay out of pocket until the funds come in. If that IS the case, that would be a predicament for alot of students.

They totally screwed up my financial aid and all the sudden can't make my info hit in their new system. I have completed financial aid since Feb. I am so upset. They are unorganized and unreliable. There is nothing I can do so now I have to find alternative school plans.
