  1. oh yeah, I wanna know about these programs, too since I live in south Scottsdale. all of these schools are in my drivable range even during the rush hour..
  2. since you've already waitied a year and a half, shouldn't your turn come around soon? you'll might be called for next semester. and i agree with you that with all these pre-req classes we only gen an ADN. i didnt have to take any below 101 level classes, but it's still taking me good two years to be able to apply for another 2 year nursing program:cry:. my friends ask me, "so, when are you gonna be done? you've been in school for a while" well, I decided to take an LPN route first because I didnt wanna waste my time, just waiting (at least, tha's how I feel) I feel your frustration, but you seem to be almost "there." so, hang in there:up:
  3. I received a letter from the financial aid office on Dec23. it only took them less than 2 months to process my pettitiion. I guess their new system has sarted to work out now. BTW, seems like the pell grant will at least cover my tuition ... yaye :) (when I called them a few weeks ago, they told me it would be $1200 for 6 months..)
  4. oh, and also can you ask them if we have any class on fridays when it says 4days/week? because I'd love to take some classes on friday from PC or Mesa CC. thank you so much again:nuke:
  5. if it's not too much trouble, can you ask them about the schedule? right now, Im trying to plan things by your info that you got from september session. like clinical doesnt start until Block B : these things. thanks a million!!
  6. thank you, stopnik:bowingpur a couple more questions if you let me... I am going for ASU because their tuition is the lowest. somehow Im scared of getting any sorts of loans. so, if I wanna go for master degree in the future, lets say in the other state, degrees from Grand Canyon and U of Phoenix will be considered OK? (I dont wanna limit myself and waste my time..) thank you again:nuke:
  7. Hi, stopnik can you tell me more about onsite bridge program? my situation is... I will be done with my pre- and co-reqs for RN in 3 month. Im just accepted into M. Skill Center, starting in 2 months. after that Im trying to get into Block 3 at SCC or MCC. while Im in these schools, I will take some pre-req for ASU (like patho, nutrition, statistics, etc). what are the classes like at onsite? isn't it worth taking classes for ASU then? and what hospital offer that program? 14 month includes pre-reqs? thank you for taking your time. BTW, happy thanksgiving to everyone!:nuke:
  8. congratulations!!!
  9. hi, I recommend one at phoenix college. she is great. I took Bio202 with her. she was also recommended to me by my friend. I met a couple of people who have taken Bio 201 or 202 with other teachers before and ended up dropping them. they re-took with my instructor and said there's no way they do bad this time in her class because she makes sure you understand the material. I took Bio201 with a part-time teacher at PC and she was ok (I got an A). but my other instructor was by far better. her website is helpful. she responses to students' email quickly. she welcomes questions. also, she records her lecture on MP3 so you can download it and listen with your i-pod. http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/Biology/pfinkenstadt/index it's her website. dont get me wrong, these classes are not easy peasy ones at all. she gives you lots of assignments, lots of quizzes. but at the end of the semester, you feel comfortable, knowing you undrestand the material. I got powerpoint hand-out, so everything on the exam are from those hand-out. they also give you the study guide (lecture review) before the exams. and some extra credit activities. I took micro at scottsdale cc with a lady who knows what she is teaching. she also welcomes questions during the class. I took it over the summer so I was really busy, studying for both lecture and lab. she gives you lots of homework, and quizzes which help to bring your grades up. we didnt neeed a text book in that class, btw. she gave us hand-outs, and we just study them. I got an A. someone told me another teacher at PC for micro is a good teacher, too.
  10. when I attented the info session, it was about 1 hour long.
  11. I'm thinking due to economy crisis, some students might turn down the offer. tuition of $7000 a year is not a small amount...
  12. the letter I received a week ago is 'pre-enrollment notification'. it says, I meet the requirements for the program beginnig Jan 1 09. but I have to do some paper work to ensure my spot by Nov14 08. like showing my fund or so. then my enrollment will be confirmed.
  13. hmmm. one paper a week... do you mean one page paper? if so, it sounds doable. but my understanding is that ENG102 is about research paper, right? like, go to the library, find sources like periodicals, write a papper, re-write it, and re-write it again... i dont know if I can do that every Monday... the PSY101 online class which I dropped on the very first day required lots of writing, like some 8-10 pages paper. so I'm really obsessed with the number of pages. 1 page and 8 pages are different, right? or I should take the class during the summer....
  14. sassieb, hmm, then Rio could be my option I have some question was there a lot of papaers to write? how was the final like? or quizzes? if you had any question, did the teacher respond to you quickly? is it possible to get an A in that class? thank you for taking your time.
  15. Alright, it's time to register for Spring 09. I'm willing to take ENG102 (that's my last co-req), but I don't know what day or what time will be possible for me to go to either PC or SCC once I start the LPN program at MSC. (I'm not a online person) so, those who are alredy in the program in MSC, can you tell me what your daily schedule is like? I'd love to take evening classes, instead of weekend. thank you:heartbeat
