Anyone else planning on starting the program on March 26? I just got off the phone with admissions and they have my transcripts. After my info as been through "two checkpoints," I'm supposed to receive a welcome packet in late February. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!
How's everyone doing? I'm completely overwhelmed but I'm hanging in there. I wish I knew MS Word well, I think that would have helped me a lot.
Hang in there! Office 2010 was a bear for me to learn - I was so used to 2003. There are tutorials on YouTube ... and they are very informative. Check them out - also, your TA will be a source of Word knowledge for you ... email and ask for help. Good luck!

I'm doing ok. I have to get everything done by tomorrow because I'm working Fri, Sat and Sun.! I won't feel like doing school after a 12 hour shift. At least it will be done!
I'm hanging in there. I got a little bit of a late start on some of this, I didn't get much time to work on things Monday or Tuesday. So I'm doing all the reading today, and hoping to get the first assignment done. That way I can do the 2nd assignment on Thursday. I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I only do 8 hours though, so hopefully I can have a little time to do things before work. Plus I get an hour break so I can take my laptop and do work then.
Quick question. When doing the reading, where are we supposed to find the state revised code, Law regulating the practice of nursing, and the State board of Nursing rules for our state? Is this something we are supposed to find on our States Board of Nursing Website, or is it in one of the books?
I'm pretty sure it's for your own state. I finished the first two assignments and am going to do #3 tomorrow. Gonna try to read some more tomorrow as well but looking ahead to Module 2 it looks like the reading assignment is the same so we really have 1.5 weeks to get all that reading done. Feeling very overwhelmed, but hoping it gets lighter as they said this week is "heavy". Glad I am not alone. Feels like I have no free time any more, either working or doing school stuff!
I have everything done except assignment #3. Not sure how to start that one! I also cannot find the legal thing we're supposed to read for the state of CA. If anyone finds this help please share!
The readings really are not all that bad. The Scope and Standards of Practice reading is pretty basic if you're aware of how the nursing education "hierarchy" works. The ethics reading is also very interesting, and a lot of it is pretty intuitive if you've ever taken a philosophy course.
Well that is what I get for not looking ahead, lol. I'm just doing everything in order, and was trying to get all the reading done before I even did the assignments. I only have 2 chapters of reading left, lol. I think I'm going to email my TA to ask about that state thing.
Just read ahead to the assignments and we have to write a paper that is based off things we are reading. I read through all this, but I'll have to re-read a lot of it to be able to write the paper. Ugh, can't believe I just sat here and read all this, when I didn't have to right now. I could have been working on the assignements instead.

Glad I'm not the only one who is feeling this way. The wondering if you can do this, is almost exactly how I'm feeling.
