Anyone else planning on starting the program on March 26? I just got off the phone with admissions and they have my transcripts. After my info as been through "two checkpoints," I'm supposed to receive a welcome packet in late February. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!
I signed up for 414 and 310. How about you?
414. I thought about doubling up, but my financial aid was lower than I expected, and I'm having to pay a lot OOP right now. Between having to buy all the baby stuff, saving for maternity leave, and school I'm broke, lol. I was out on disability for 5 1/2 weeks with hyperemesis so I used up all my sick bank and PTO, so I'm not going to have crap for maternity leave.
What's the process for testing out of it?
You first have to sign up for the class and then the instructor will send an email stating that there is an option to test out during the first week of class. You have to obtain a score of at least 80%, if you are unhappy with your score then you can take the course however taking the test does not affect you either way. I am now hoping one of the veterans will enlighten us on how to study for this test as i will have to wait until the start of class to get further information.Professor said she cannot respond to emails until class officially starts.

I bought the book and the companion lab manual - skimmed the book and did the questions in the lab manual. You will also have access to an online study guide associated with the book - I did the questions from the lab manual and from the online study guides - got an 89% on the test - and in our section, it was not curved. Guess the overall grades were too high. It is doable - test out if you can! Good luck!

This is exactly what I did. I got a 86% on the test. This class looked like it would have been a lot of work. I took the 86%. :)
Aren't they combining 310 with 325 to make 4520 in the fall as a 6 unit course? If you test out it means you have to hope they offer 325 in the summer, and pay more in tuition rather than just taking 4520 in the fall. Seems like it would be less of a headache overall if you test out of the course though.
