  1. I'm taking it as well, and hoping I can test out. I would like to have a little break from two classes for these next five weeks so if I can test out of this one I will only have Diversity until the summer quarter.
  2. I'm not a fan of the assignments. I have a hard time finding resources outside of our book to use for some of them. Two more weeks though!
  3. I'm with rninme, I would like to get a head start on reading for this class. Especially since I have some downtime this week and can work on my tan while reading, lol. It's 85 and sunny in Chicago!
  4. What's the process for testing out of it?
  5. All of my grades are showing in Epic for this course but they don't show up in Ohio's system yet under my.ohio for grades. Yet none of my grades for the Research course I took show up in Epic and I show a course grade in the grades section under my.ohio for that class. Has anyone else experienced this?
  6. Has anyone in this class received their quiz grades or final grades yet? Mine is still missing in the system and the TA said it would be posted yesterday. Just curious.
  7. My TA didn't require us to participate in our case study group discussion board, meaning we weren't being graded for posting on there. It was available for us to post questions or provide information but very few used it. We had a few assignments for the class including the case study, the standard weekly discussion board posts, and two quizzes (which were ridiculous). I took it with NRSE 300, so it was my first "real" nursing course and I didn't think it was too bad.
  8. I work full-time, usually 40 hours a week but lately its been about 50. I just recently changed my schedule so that I'm off Thursday thru Saturday and work 4 10's the other days. I was spending my entire weekend working on school work and I was miserable. I don't have kids, and I'm sure that makes a huge difference as far as available time for school. I'm pretty lucky in that my work is very flexible and I've been able to do some assignments on my breaks and lunches. I don't have the typical nursing job where I'm in the hospital on the floor. I spend a lot of time working from home and on the computer so I'm able to make the time for the classes. I chose to double up because I wanted to be done quicker and my goal was to be done with school before my wedding. So on top of work and school I am also planning a wedding. It's been stressful but manageable. When looking for references are you using the online library or textbooks for your resources?
  9. It's actually September 2012. I've been taking two classes at a time. At least I hope it will be this year. If I don't have a breakdown before then...lol.
  10. As far as I know there isn't a group project in community. I was talking about Family Nursing (330). It really isn't a group project but they split up your section and assign a certain number of people per case study and encourage you to discuss it with your group. My group hardly ever posted anything on the discussion board. Sorry for the confusion! :)
  11. I plan on taking Community and Management at the same time. We'll see how that goes. I thought Family Nursing wasn't too bad. The tests were pretty ridiculous, but like boyfactory stated, they curved them. The case studies were the most time consuming part of the class. If you get a good group that participates and is willing to use the discussion board then it makes it that much easier.
  12. I started January 2012 and I am hoping to be done end of September. I have to take all 12 nursing courses plus Nutrition and a Junior Comp. class. I'm still fighting the Comp course, so we'll see if I end up having to take it. Has anyone taken Nutrition through OU online? Just curious if it's worth taking or if I am better off going to my local community college.
  13. Has everyone gotten their grades for this course? I've only gotten my paper graded so far. I was curious how they graded the quiz and if they curved it like the last couple. So happy for this class to be over but I would like to just have my grades so I can mentally move on from this one...
  14. I had the same issue. Still waiting for a response from the TA.
  15. That was a ridiculous test. I'm hoping it does get curved because it brought my grade down. Has anyone noticed how many people dropped after the mid-term? I know our section had 5 people left on the discussion boards. They might want to revamp their question selections...
