It has come to my attention that I come up regularly at the teacher lunch table each day. It appears that several co-workers don't mind openly bashing me and criticizing me for the medical decisions that I make in my school.
As they say.....Hater's gonna Hate !! Come do my job for one day. You may stop your gossip about me after you've tried it.
Teachers have to put up with a lot of BS from renewing credentials/certifications, dealing with parents who have "perfect kids" (and that behavior lasts through college now), being able to punish kids who are rotten without hurting their precious feelings, etc. That's NO excuse, but maybe they're just a bit envious that, while your job has problems, you don't have to deal with all that nonsense.Let me reiterate, it's NO excuse, but I have teacher friends and if I had to put up with half the BS they do I'd lose my **** in a second (just the parents alone would drive me up a wall).
xo
Honestly we DO put up with all of that stuff Every.Single.Day. We know how frustrating, tedious, heartbreaking and annoying it can be! I deal with every parent in this building and how special their little snowflake is all the time.
You know nothing like having teachers that are spouting out to their students how they all need to be respectful to one another during lectures turn right around and just rip the "others" in the building apart. Like i have said to some of my "other" counter parts in the building - the custodians, the IT peeps, and the nurse all hold more power that you can imagine. Don't tick them off! I try to stay on good terms with IT and custodial staff!
Sure, the teachers have talked plenty of smack about me. I don't let it bother me. I know what goes on in here not them. The fact is that they would not last an hour in here, let alone a day. Ad I know that if it were up to them, they'd want me to send every last student home for every minor complaint just so they'd have nice small quiet classes. But on the reverse, if i did that they'd complain that all i do is just send everyone home and that they can't get any teaching done because the kids miss too much.

Folks, it's called PROFESSIONALISM ! All professions should respect each other. I too am licensed and a professional. No one should be pulling rank on each other. If you respect me....I'll respect you. You have stress in your job, I have stress in my job. RESPECT.
