Hello!
I wanted to start a thread for all of us applying to LSU’s CRNA program starting in 2020. Past forums have seemed to be helpful in keeping up with timelines and connecting with one another. Can’t believe it’s time, but here we go!
I came across this group me that has a lot of insight on schools and interviews last year if anyone is interested. Plus I figured it would also be an easier method to stay up to date with each others’ interviews / acceptance, etc.
You're invited to my new group 'CRNA' on GroupMe. Click here to join: https://groupme.com/join_group/42467628/2JV7Yi
Hi all! Congrats to everyone who got interviews:) I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight as for what to expect regarding the interview process? Mosty clinical or personal questions? Are they welcoming or intimidating? Really anything would help! Thank you and good luck to all:)

Their statistics are posted on the website. https://nursing.lsuhsc.edu/nap/statistics.aspx

They ABSOLUTELY are a weed out program. Just like their nursing school. I went to LSU for nursing school and have had a bunch of friends go through the CRNA program along with having multiple in it right now. The first semester's for summer and fall arent bad. You can even work the first till the spring . Its mainly writing a bunch of research papers. Once we hit Dec/Jan for Spring semester buckle up. That's when we take med phys (with the lsu med students) which everyone I've talked to said is the worst/hardest class in arguably the worst/ hardest semester of all LSU CRNA. The class 2 yrs ahead of us I have a best friend in she said they lost 5 alone just to that class.
