Hello
I am not an lpn but am thinking about becoming one and i have researched salaries.
I have seen salaries as low as $12 an hour and as high as $18 an hour.
What is the average starting salary for A NEW lpn?
Just want to know if I will be able to pay off my student loan!
Hello all,
I actually just passed my LPN boards and just got a job at a nursing home in the northern burbs of illinois a few days ago. I got a part time job at a nursing home as an LPN to make some extra money while i'm in an ADN program (graduating in May, hopefully, if all goes well) at a community college. Anyway, as a new grad lpn they hired me at $19.50/hr on weekdays and $20/hr on the weekends and in 3 months there will be a review for a possible raise. I hope this helps somebody out there!
That's horrible pay for Orange County, California, considering the cost of living is so outrageous there. You guys should be earning at least $25 hourly. In Santa Ana California " THE OC" at th e hospital I work at on a med/surg floor LVNs make 17-18 dollars and hours; but I heard they make 17 dollars an hour at a nursing Home I don't really know what is the truth.
hello guys!I am a registered nurse in the Phils. but i now live here in Germany with my US citizen husband. And i'm working out with my immigrant US visa bec. i want to go there and work as a nurse. I'm really depressed bec. the board of Nursing won't approve my application to take the NCLEX-RN exam just bec. i didn't passed yet my TSE/Ielts.Can i still work there even not as a registered nurse?
My first job 1 year ago as an LVN was in a nursing home/rehab, and made 22.00/hr. I have since worked in home health making 19.00/hr, 12 hr shifts, so I get time and a half. I just got hired at a correctional facility, will probably start at about $25- $26/hr plus state ben. I also live in CA, and have heard of LVN's making $30/hr, possibly more.
I am not sure where you are looking for work, but I do believe you can make better money than that. And, your mom should most definitely be making more money than what she is making. I have been an LPN for 28 yrs and now making $25.00/hr. Keep looking for the right paying job. It is out there.
My first LPN job is at an Assisted Living Facility. I make $18.00/hr during the week and $20.00/hr on the weekend. I live in Iowa, where living expenses are not too high. I have quite a bit of student loan debt, however if I would have only borrowed what I needed for school, my payment would only be $70/month.
