LPN/LVN rate of pay in your area.

This topic has been around before, but I was looking for something more up to date. Things have fluctuated in past two years or so. I know people are always looking for salaries and most of the time its for RN's. I'll start ;-)

Around the Cincinnati area here I'm not sure about the starting pay or pay in hospitals for LPN's. But I know LTC facilities are about 16 to start ranging up to about 22. I've seen ad's in the paper saying $24 but I don't know what that was for. Agencys are about 21-25 dollars for LPN's also. I believe Jobs are plentiful around here! Also when I was up in columbus, I heard an instructor saying they are starting their LPN's out with $27-30 while the RN's get about $40-50 ..I don't really believe that, but I just tossed that out there maybe for some clarification?

I got recently hired in a Convalescent Hospital (Cupertino, California) I got an offer of $31/hr w/ benefits. Im a fresh green, new LVN..but as ive said before, around here in our area pay rate is in between $25-28/hr. One of my classmate got recently hired also got an offer of 28/hr (San Rafael, CA).. hope i helped in answering your question.

I live in North Carolina. The hospital I work at start LPNs at $14 max pay is around $22.

That does not include shift dif for evenings or nights. Imagine working holidays with double pay, and shift dif. If you are willing to work those shifts, imagine the money your able to work.

There aren't many LPNs where I work, most are going back to get their RN.

I've looked through the 30 something pages in this post and I didn't see any pay rate for Western Washington, Seattle/Tacoma area. I'm aspiring to be an LPN in this area. What is beginning pay, anybody know??? Thanks so much!!

I'm in Philadelphia. As a GRADUATE Nurse (permit, no license) I earned a starting rate of $19.65. After I got my license, one LTC facility offered $21 (didn't have the shift I needed though so I had to decline), another LTC facility had a Baylor/weekend position offering between $25-$27 plus full time benefits (but then they decided to discontinue the position all together for some reason!!!!), I interviewed at a rehab facility today with a starting rate of $22.50+ $1/shift diff. (hope i get it!!!!)

home health care, zanesville ohio=$15.25 an hour. i am in the wrong place:(

wow... I am looking for a agency just so I can go part time at my job nursing home...u know kids plus... I am just tired.. but I have full benefits 1199 plus paid $23 hr .. plus night diff.. is fine.. wow... but I am in NYC... I guess I should be happy:idea:

I would be happy with but there's always room for more money in my account. What do prefer hospital or LTC? Just wondering which route I should go?!

I have had to fight for my 16.10/hr in SC

It is amazing how the pay is so different all over the country. I am blessed, I just finished up with school in July, and took my NCLEX-PN in October. The hospital took the years I have worked into consideration when I switched over to nursing. I will still be working in the OR and have a few more things added to my job description. I have to admit, I am a bit nervous.

I failed to mention in my other post that if you work in a nursing home, you can start out making $25 and up. I think they are 12 hr shifts. You are the nurse for that hall and care for the residents on it.

I'm currently working at a LTC in Brooklyn, NY. As a LPN they start you off with $21.69/hr plus differential for evening and night shift. And if they're understaffed, which they usually are, and you have to work on a floor alone they pay you an extra $50.

Philadelphia LTC Pool $28 Agency $27-30 MY Agency $32 but it is the highest paying in the area. On staff w/benes I was getting around $27 on nights.

I'm making $18.50 in LTC. It was a $1.50 cut from hospice, but I needed to work a steady shift while in school.

I have 17 years experience and I make 16.00/hr in mid MO area
