LPN/LVN rate of pay in your area.
I would be happy with but there's always room for more money in my account. What do prefer hospital or LTC? Just wondering which route I should go?!

LPN program, RN Associates, OR RN-BSN??? I'm torn.
Go for LPN I've that same feeling about two weeks ago so I'm going with LPN. I want also to become a damn good nurse.:studyowl:

Red-that's just because people enjoy pissing me off.:angryfire

What states offer good working condition for RNs?
NYC, but check the hospital first. Beth Israel, Kings County, and Methodist Hospitals are a good choice.

Math Help Anyone?!
here's my agenda: i'm up for a scholarship for an lpn program in my city. there are two exams that need to be taken before i actually receive my scholarship. first there is a pre-screening testing for reading and math (must score 11.0 and 10.5 which is at or above the eight grade level) if and when successful then i will be enrolled in preparatory classes to study for the c-net exam (will run from jan.-may). finally, if and when i pass the c-net exam i will receive my scholarship and the program will begin in september 08. my question is this can anyone tell me what type of math will be on the first exam and if there are any free websites that i can go to to help my prepare and score high . p.s. i really suck in math do you think i can make it? and what's in store for me if i get in?

What's the process for becoming an LPN?
hello, i am 27 years old and live in brooklyn. a few years ago i attended medgar evers college, my major was nursing . right before the semester started i was in car accident and ended up with a broken arm. anyway, being that nursing is my life long dream i pushed myself to attend classes every day, but the pain that i endured daily did not allow me to continue. so i withdrew officically, now a few years later wanting to return to school and finish the program the school is telling me that i owe money and i cannot return until these monies are paid to them. i want to do this so bad and be able to take care of my family, i have an 8 and 6 year an a 3 month old. i have a supporting husband who works as a plumber. i want this so bad ii can taste it, is it too late ? what do i need to do to get into an lpn program? should i brush up on my math? someone please help thank- you in advance.
