i WANT to know why this Suzanne's Plan isn't available for us strugglying grads.
I just have to post this because this has been on my mind for quite some time. I WANT to know why Suzanne's plan isn't available. I find this very odd, and quite fishy if you ask me. Why wouldn't they have this site available for all the strugglying people out there that are retaking and failing and retaking again, and again, and again. Doesn't make sense. EVERYONE was passing using her plan... Do they not want us to use her plan anymore because the people who were passing decided not to use other nclex books? which makes them lose income? Kinda makes me mad because no one on this site is willing to explain or doesn't know what happened to it, because it just vanished. Also, the ones who have used Suzanne's Plan don't even want to share with us. If it was SUCH A GREAT tool, don't you think this site would provide it? I thought this site is suppose to help others out? Or do the owners of this site just want to see us fail and struggle and spend wasteless amounts of money. I'm sorry but that's what it feels like. There's a lot of people that have failed on here.

Do I study Content or do I go straight into questions: (Using Exam Cram book btw)
I don't know what to do. I am so lost on how to study for this dang thing. I popped in the cd pre-test mode and after a few questions, i was like, "I don't know any of this"... i was just guessing and guessing. Makes me wonder if I should study the book? Feels like a huge time consumer though. What do you think?

Abnormal vs. Normal assessment findings in the elderly
I know that the skin becomes less elastic and wrinkled. Skin becomes drier, the hair becomes thin, gray hair, loss in height, compression of the joints, spinal bones, and discs occur, the vision lens becomes less flexible, bones become less dense, leading to boss loss (osteoporosis), less muscle mass, changes in the memory, heart may have to work harder, kidneys decrease in function.....these are all NORMAL findings in the elderly, correct? But what are the ABnormal findings in the elderly?? irregular heartbeat? chronic constipation? fractures? hypertension?

For all of you Nurses out there...
Wow, boy I just feel better by reading all of your responses. I feel like i'm the only one that feels this way most days, but now I know that there are others who are just like me and who are exactly in my shoes. I want to wish all of the nursing students good luck and that hopefully we will find our niche and like our jobs as new grads. Just hope and pray, that's all I have been doing besides nursing school work!

For all of you Nurses out there...
I know what you mean, I noticed on this site some people say to go onto the med-surg floor right after graduating to get experience. But I didn't like it either. I didn't like my med-surg rotation at all and frankly, I didn't like the hospital feeling of "running around w/ my head chopped off" .... I'm just quite curious to see what kind of job you do?? I know that there are a lot of different paths you could go with nursing and that is a good thing about it.

For all of you Nurses out there...
I am finishing up nursing school and will be done the end of the summer. I feel like nursing school just blown my confidence all away. I feel like it's all down the drain. I also feel that my personality is just not the same anymore, and I'm always stuck doing school work while all my other friends are out having a good time. I don't like myself right now, and I think it's because Nursing School has done it for me. I am almost done, and am just wondering for those of you who ARE nurses, is it truely really worth it?? Will I get my confidence back again? I hear stories about nurses being mean to new nurses, and if so then that's not going to help with confidence at all. Will I like nursing even though nursing school was horrible?---Is that normal?? I'm just starting to feel like maybe this isn't for me, but I'm almost done, so I'm going to finish it...and see what happens. I just want to feel normal and happy again!

LPN program, RN Associates, OR RN-BSN??? I'm torn.
I don't know what path I want to take. I already have my CNA and worked as a CNA for 2 years now and gained some experience. Now I'm looking into Nursing School but I am torn of what to do: It's either doing the LPN program(in which i could start this january), RN Associates Degree, or RN-BSN degree...I seriuosly don't know which is best but i'm leaning towards the LPN program first. Here's why: I want to do the LPN program first because I would love to gain a lot of experience because i want to be a good nurse! I say start out lower and move your way up. After my lpn program is completed, i would get straight into the RN program at my local community college. BUT i don't know if community college is the way to go. I don't want any management positions because i don't want that responsibility so i honestly don't think i'll need a BSN. Do you agree? Am I making the right decision??
