Try http://www.deaconess.edu. They have an online program where you can do clinicals in your area (you set them up, not the school) and then only go to campus once a semester for validations. I started their program, but it wasn't for me. A nice school, but our learning styles clashed. If you are able to learn on your own, this school might be for you.
Also, I know of a few other programs, but it depends on what state you live in. For instance, I know of a program for people in Arizona that is online as well. There is another one, but I think it is for Minnesota residents.
Take Care and Good Luck.
thanks, can you tell me why you didnt like the schools learing styles? I dont want to waste my time with them, if its something I wouldnt like either, thanks again

Where are you from Summerdaze? I am also a certified Medical Assistant and I will graduate with my LPN this may. I did my distance education online through Northland Community and Technical College. I did have to attend campus for some classes, but that was minimal and you also have two sites to choose from to do clinicals. But it is in Minnesota.
Did you like the online program at Northland? I was thinking about enrolling in that program at one time, but I would have to make many trips to Minnesota. I've always wanted to live in Minnesota, so I wouldn't mind all of the trips, but my family would:)
I PM'd you. I thought it would just be easier to send you a personal note in case you had any questions.
I am in South Carolina. I really wish I could find a decent distant education nursing program to get my LPN. Thanks for all the replies.
Did you try posting a message on the South Carolina Nurses section on this site? Someone there might be able to point you to a distance program in your state. Or if a part time or evening/weekend program would work for you, they might know of one in your area.
Good Luck.

Before you go looking, check with your BON to find out which ones are approved for your state. Not all states accept the distance learning programs for the LPN license.
Yes, I have enjoyed the program. The instructors have been great and helpful. I would recommend the program to anyone.

I have NEVER heard of an LPN Program Offered On-line...that would be Dangerous!!...I can understand LPN to RN but from MA, CNA, etc etc to LPN?...no...you need to do clinicals...a MA or Cna's experience is NOT enough to even be eligible or considered Nursing clinicals...I was CNA back in 2000 for about 8 months...and it does not compare..be very careful to fall for these "LPN on-line" courses...sounds a bit shady to me...as far as im aware...there are no LPN on-line programs offered...XoXo
