LPN Distance Education?

Nursing Students Online Learning

I am currently a Registered Medical Assistant and am looking for on online or distant education LPN course. Please let me know if you know of one, thanks

If you are in the Beaufort / Bluffton area, Technical College of the Low Country has a good 2 year RN program (ADN). It is better to go that route if possible instead of wishing you'd put a little more time in than the LPN & then figuring out a way to go back. I'm working on that now, the ADN, & I graduated with my LPN in October 2005. Wish I had known about the other program when I did mine. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Deaconess was bought out and the name changed to Chamberlain quite a while back. Chamberlain has since dropped the LPN option. There are several threads where mention is made of Chamberlain.

Try www.deaconess.edu. They have an online program where you can do clinicals in your area (you set them up, not the school) and then only go to campus once a semester for validations. I started their program, but it wasn't for me. A nice school, but our learning styles clashed. If you are able to learn on your own, this school might be for you.

Also, I know of a few other programs, but it depends on what state you live in. For instance, I know of a program for people in Arizona that is online as well. There is another one, but I think it is for Minnesota residents.

Take Care and Good Luck.

Hi, do you know of any in New York City?

Just an FYI

Chamberlain, formerly Deaconess, no longer offers an online option for LPN. This was stated above, and it's true.

They also no longer offer the online ADN for those outside of Missouri or Ohio.
