Holy cow!!!!! I am so glad the attorney general caught up to them. I almost fell for the scam too,referred there by my co-worker. I'm so sorry for all those hard-working ppl who got crooked.

I also heard about HAFA from a co-worker, and I am thinking the same thing- scam. They want $500 upon admission and after acceptance ,they want anothe $1000. Right now I am not too sure about it so I guess I'll keep searching.

Hi, do you have the ISBN numbers for the net and nln books? I was thinking about taking your advice by not giving up and try one more time. I've always wanted to advance from CNA but not being able to pass the tests is discouraging. I may try again but if not, then God has another plan for me. I do very well as a CNA including 2x CNA of the year awards but physically it's killing me.

Hi, I failed it twice so I gave up. I passed the reading part but my math( since me and math are not the best of friends) score was a few points from a passing score. I don't what to study anymore to pass these entrance tests. As for you, don't be nervous especially on testing day because I was too and I think that is the reason why I didn't pass. HI, Congratz on you admission!!!! I also live in Queens and I had taken VEEB admission test twice but I didn't pass. What did you study to pass the exam? Veeb told me study math and reading because that is what the test consists of, so I went and bought the GED math and reading and I studied until I overloaded my brain. When the actual test day came,my mind went blank.

Hi Everyone! BEWARE of this ILPN SCHOOL. I contacted the Bd of ED and it is not accredited. The Bd of ED also said it is a scam to get peoples money and you will never have the chance to take your nursing boards in N.Y.so please pass this along. I almost fell for it too but I checked it out first. It is ashame that people are taking advantage of some who want to become an LPN.

Hi! I am a CNA for 14 yrs now, and I was searching the excelsior college site. I am confused about applying directly or just going non-matriculate to earn some credits toward a degree. How were you able to do the LPN program with excelsior? When I called, they told me I can take individual courses or but I must be a LPN already for their nursing program.

Yes, I have been winging it alone getting my materila together with Excelsior, and having success finding materials, etc. Some of the books I bought used on the internet though amazon, and I even found some of the texts through interlibrary loan. Diahni Will I get accepted into Excelsior although I am a CNA?

Hi there, would this be the MERIT school? I have a few co-workers who just completed the program too. They told me to go for an entrance exam but I need math review first being that I 've been out of school so long. The best news is there is no waiting list and I'm willing to travel from Queens, NYC to NJ. If its not the same school I'm thinking can you kindly give me the number? Thanks!

Hi! I was actually taking online classes with UOP and found out that it was for healthcare administration although they told me at the time of enrollment that it was for the nursing program, but then I really found out you have to be a LPN/RN already licensed to be in their nursing program. I stopped my classes with UOP and I'm thinking about Excelsior college.
