Did anyone apply for the new graduate residency programs at Hospital for Special Surgery? If so has anyone heard back from them? MY application has been under review by a recruiter for months now. I am just curious if they have filled the spots or not. I have emailed recruiting office, but heard nothing back. Thanks!

Any questions shot me an email on here! I am in the first evening program. This is the first semester they have the program. I do not work in health setting. It is designed for that but they will allow others to do the night program. How BI works...you get into the school and then you tell them what section you want. They do there best to accomodate it. If you have most of hte pre reqs done then ATOP or Evening is a good option. Starting in January Ill be taking Nutrition on Monday Evenings and then Nursing 102 on tuesday, weds and thursday evenings. This last semester they offered Dev. Psych on Monday evenings. THey told me they since i took child dev psych already I could take my psych online. So Ill be signing up for a summer class online with SUNY Online Network. It is important to have done enlighs, sociology, gen. psych, ap1 & 2, ethics. You can take dev psych, nutrition and micro at BI. I took Microbiology in a summer session at NCC. MUCH EASIER.

Hi! I am currently in my first year at Beth Israel. I transfered from Nassau Community College and did the evening program at BI. Everything for me transfered over except child development psych. They want life span developmental psych and nutrition is another hard class to transfer over. Go to the website, www.futurenursebi.com and look for email address. Send them the description from you course catalog of all the classes that are needed and see if they will accept those credits. For the math dosage class, you will have to take the challenge exam. If you do not pass the challenege exam then you will have to take that class over again too. Also if you do not have all the pre-reqs done, here is my suggestion, google suny online network and find the classes that you are missing. Send them over to BI and find out if those clsas description will pass and take as many pre reqs you can get out of the way. Its much easier to get through nursing school having done everything except the actual nursing classes. Hope this helped.

I havent gotten my aid yet either!! I sorta need to know where my tuition is going to come from and where my money for other stuff like books too! I was going to call over today to find out. I think bc they hhave admitted so many students this year the whole process is taking longer now. So hopefully we will have it like today! What program you in mollymel?

Hey Socialworklife I am in the evening program as well. There seems to be only one section for evening which they place us in. We were only required to let them know when we would want to take the tests for the online class. Did you get a book list of what we need?

Are you required to sign on at a certain time? I am just curious bc I am working full time, taking nursing classes at Beth Israel School of Nursing t-th from 530 to 1030pm. Online classes did not exist when I got my Bachelors degree so this is a new world to me. Good luck with your LPN!!! Congrats!!!

Has anyone taken any online classes? I am signing up to take an online class for developmental psych and I was not sure really what to expect and was looking for feed back on how it works. Thanks!

Did you guys register? I did not receive anything to actual register yet. Just got something asking what I wanted? When is orientation?

I am attending fall 2007 at Beth Israel. What are the days for orientation? I need to put in for those days off at work :)

Still nothing as of yesterday. I got a big package and got excited to find it was something else. booo. what did the letter read? just told you where to mail the deposit? anything further?

No letter yet, but my mail takes forever!! hope its today.

So I found out that you can not CLEP, Devlpmental Psych. But Intro to psych, sociology and English you can. Once in the program you can not take any of the co req science classes outside of PBISON. But before hand you can. And once in with the approval of the school and proper add/drop forms being filled out, you can take the Lib. arts classes eslewhere.
