Loyola Chicago ABSN Fall 2021

Published

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to Loyola University of Chicago's ABSN program for the Fall 2021 cohort.

I still have a few pre-recs to complete, but I am planning to submit my application next month. I would be moving from out of state and Loyola is my top choice program.

My checklist is titled "admit checklist" and only my prerq classes are listed and my transcripts and letter of reqs are gone... what does this mean?

from my experience that’s good news! I kept checking after I saw these changes and then I got the official acceptance letter and a $500 deposit request. Which location did you apply to?

My application just switched to admit checklist so I think that means that I'm in according to what others have said! I'll have to wait to see if they send me more information though.

Congratulations! The wait was worth it! Which location did you apply to?

I applied to the Maywood campus!

I applied to the Downers Grove campus!

Hi All,

I'm in the process of finishing up my application materials, but I was wondering how everyone is deciding which campus to apply to. I was originally thinking I wanted to attend the Maywood campus, but I'm curious to how others are making/have made that decision. Thanks!

Hi! I am still going to have to work while in the program. I chose the Downers Grove campus because of work and my little 14 month old baby needs me.

how long was it before you saw your acceptance letter appear after you noticed it change to admit checklist?

I personally chose the maywood campus due to my learning style. I want/prefer to learn in person. I know the the downers grove will be online except for the clinicals. However, that will be more flexible with your schedule.

As far as timing goes, I applied this took a couple of weeks to process. Then they called stating it was in review. They stated once it was in review this would take one week to make a decision. Then I checked online and saw my acceptance letter first and then got a call and email that week after.

@Moutaingirl1456 OK! I just saw my application turn from application checklist to admit checklist so was wondering the timeline or process after that! Haven't seen an official acceptance letter, but have seen that this is a good sign.

When did you submit your app?

@AtheRN I submitted it early jan, but my last transcript didn't come in until late jan
