Loyola Chicago ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to Loyola University of Chicago's ABSN program for the Fall 2021 cohort.

I still have a few pre-recs to complete, but I am planning to submit my application next month. I would be moving from out of state and Loyola is my top choice program.

Congrats to everyone! I am also waiting on the financial aid to see how much I should be budgeting for and then start looking into a living situation. Coming from Colorado, I am not sure what neighborhoods would be best to live if I will be doing the Maywood campus.

Forest Park (expensive), Oak Park (further east), North Riverside, Maywood (be meticulous, some sketchy parts), Brookfield, Westchester, Summit, Stickney, Berwyn....

Wow thank you so much! I have hear of Forrest Park and Oak Park. I will definitely look into those places too.

Hi all!

I just got accepted to Loyola's Maywood campus for Fall 2021 and just found this thread! So excited to meet all of you. I have been looking into housing and am thinking having a roommate would be a good option. Should we make like some type of facebook group or something so we can work together maybe on finding housing or just getting to know each other? Let me know! ?

Congrats! Getting in is such a relief! My advisor sent me a fb group. There’s not much going on there but hopefully there will be soon. Let me know if you need me to send you the link.

Congrats! I am thinking the same.  A roommate is definitely the way to go.  However, the link that my advisor sent me to the fb group is mainly already admitted student selling books and their scrubs. I may make another fb group for incoming students. This would be very helpful.

Hi everyone! I submitted my application on 2/20 and my final LOR to complete everything came in on 3/4. To those who heard back already, how long after submission of everything on the checklist did you guys hear back? ?

I submitted everything 2/10 was updated to admit check list 3/5 and got an acceptance letter on 3/6.

Congrats!! Hopefully I will know my decision soon so we could be in the same class!

I just got my acceptance letter & planning to submit my deposit today for the Maywood campus! Is there a facebook page set up for our cohort yet? I joined the ABSN facebook group that students sell scrubs & books in.
