Loyola Chicago ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to Loyola University of Chicago's ABSN program for the Fall 2021 cohort.

I still have a few pre-recs to complete, but I am planning to submit my application next month. I would be moving from out of state and Loyola is my top choice program.

I submitted my application on Monday but my last letter of rec came in today so all of my documents were all received today. For those that have been accepted, how long before I get a decision letter? Is the waiting period counted from when I submitted the application or when all documents have been received?

I submitted my application about 2 weeks ago and my advisor told me I would probably hear back in about a week or two, but he's asking me to make a financial and relocation plan before I even know my decision. Did anyone else's advisor do the same thing? He has also sent me information about housing and the link to the facebook page.

hi! I applied in February and I was accepted two weeks later, but I am also in very frequent contact with my advisor. If you haven't heard back I would just contact your advisor! I haven't accepted yet because I am between Elmhurst and Loyola... but if I chose Loyola I will be in the hybrid program :-)

Mine did not. I've discussed loans with my advisor but not relocation and such. That sounds positive though, you must be a strong candidate!

My application changed to admit checklist today, I hope that means I’m in! I’m so excited!!

Congrats! I just received my official acceptance letter as well (for Maywood)! I can't wait to meet everyone!

My name is Abi, I was admitted to the hybrid program and think I will be committing as it was my top choice. Im from LA and of course an nervous about moving to another city. Congrats to everyone who has been admitted :)

hey y'all.

I'm in the process of applying for private loans for this program, and Ascent gave me a referral link where you can save $100 if you do an application through this link: https://college.ascentfunding.com/refer/RF-EHHLDHICG.

If you refer someone else, you can save up to $525 on your loan as well, so thought I'd give it a go! Nerdwallet gave ascent one of the best ratings for private student loan options, so they are one of the private student loan options I'm looking into. 

 

How is everyone so far in the application process? I got a checklist email not long ago about immunizations and stuff, but I'm dragging my feet to get it done...
