Loyola Chicago ABSN Fall 2021

Published

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to Loyola University of Chicago's ABSN program for the Fall 2021 cohort.

I still have a few pre-recs to complete, but I am planning to submit my application next month. I would be moving from out of state and Loyola is my top choice program.

Has anyone else had any correspondence lately?

Sadly none on my end. Talked to my advisor a couple weeks ago.. she hoped I'd find out last week but that didn't happen. I applied 6 weeks ago so the waiting hasn't been fun ?

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this thread.

Congratulations to those who have already been accepted! I applied to the Maywood campus January 24th, and I just checked my status portal and it has changed to 'admit checklist'. Based off of others comments, I'm hoping this means a good thing!

I am located in California and still waiting to hear back from a few schools here. However, if I do end up moving to Chicago, I would definitely be interested in finding a place and having roommates! ?

Same here! I will be moving from Colorado with my french bulldog named Bluberry. I have been talking to some people about good neighborhoods that are close to maywood campus. However, I am waiting back to see how much financial aid I will receive. They said this is usually in beginning of march and then I will want to start looking... or lets be real think about looking. I'd love to live with other ABSN students too.

Specializes in CNA.

I’ll be making my decision in the next couple weeks and would be moving from Washington!

Update: I got my acceptance letter today!! I'm still waiting on other schools but will probably have to put the deposit down since it's only 30 days.

Good luck to all of you!! I'm rooting for you all ?

Thank you!! ?

Just logged onto my portal and saw it switched to admit checklist! ? Trying not to get too excited before anything official comes, but it looks like I will be attending this fall! So excited to meet everyone! I’m currently in the IL burbs already, but will probably be looking to move closer to the city/Maywood ?

Mine also just changed to admit checklist ^,^

Jusy got my acceptance letter!

Although I'm worried because they havent sent out the financial awards letters yet, and I would like to know how much I'm getting from fasfa before putting down the deposit.... and we only have 30 days to put down the 500 deposit...

I've sent an email to the financial aid dept and waiting to find out a date for when those are sent out. (I applied to FASFA at the beginning of the year)

Congrats! My advisor called me today and I asked when FAFSA information would be coming out and she seemed to think they would start coming out mid-March to beginning of April. I put down my deposit this week, though so I'm already accepting my financial fate LOL ?. I hope you're able to get that information ASAP if that's what's holding you back from making a decision!

I just changed to admit checklist!!

I can't even contain myself right now because it has been a JOURNEY getting to this point (6 long years). I don't want to get *too* excited without an acceptance letter but based on what you all are saying I'm ECSTATIC.
