That it got me through A&P II, piece by piece ;)

Specializes in LTC, assisted living, med-surg, psych.

What's not to love? Cats are soft, they purr, they love us without reservation, worry about us when we're not feeling well (as evidenced by the fact that all 5 of mine crawl on top of me whenever I'm ill!), and never yell at us when they've had a bad day.:p

If only they didn't have that reverse-peristalsis tendency.........:barf02:

100% correct!!!!!

And mine (all 5) are just plain goofy. They make me laugh even though I often have to clean up that reverse-peristalsis.

Specializes in Education, FP, LNC, Forensics, ED, OB.

New kitten here.

I love it that she knows how to retrieve. Never saw this in a cat before.

She loves me unconditionally and makes me laugh out loud, which is soooo good for the soul.

I have 5, but I love that no matter how hard your day is, how angry or sad you are, they are always there ready for a petting!:)

Specializes in L & D nurse!.

I have two (a girl and a boy). I love them both so much because they always greet me at the door when I get home from class all stressed out. I also love it that they want to be with me all the time and talk to me. I love having conversations with them.

Specializes in Level III cardiac/telemetry.

I can play with her and she makes me laugh when I need it! You guys need to go see this figureine from TLC http://shopping.discovery.com/product-60387.html

I'm going to order one for me and my sister!

I miss my kitties :bluecry1:

I had a orange tabby that I physically caught as a child. He was wild but absolutely gorgeous. A lady that lived next door to my grandma would feed them and once I laid eyes on him I made it my mission to catch him and I did and i was scratched up :rotfl: but I had him and my mom let me keep him:p and he was the best cat I could ever have. He grew up to be so gorgeous but he died. My mom still has pictures of me holding him :bluecry1:

I think it is about time I get another kitty

I love that they can be so aloof and independent, but totally needy and attention-getting. And they don't give a darn about bad hair days or PMS. :)

Siri, I have three cats and two of them fetch--I had never seen that before, either, but now I've heard of others that do that. My dog wouldn't fetch to save her life, but the cats cry and cry until we toss wadded up pipecleaners for them to fetch. Sometimes at 3 a.m. :zzzzz

I live by myself, so my cat keeps me company. She follows me around my apartment and always likes to sit or sleep right next to me. She's here dozing next to my computer right now, half-reading all-nurses with me.

I'm at least her third owner. When I first got her, she didn't like to be handled or petted at all. It took about a year, but she turned into the sweetest, mellow little kitty, and now she wants to be petted all the time. :)
