Lots of SATA questions for June NCLEX testers???

Published

I see a lot of people who have started taking their NCLEX this month say that there are a ton of SATA questions on the test, is this a new test format that started this month? I know that it was preached in our school that SATA questions were gonna be on the test but the amount of questions seems to have increased just from reading the posts in the thread from people who tested in the last two days. I take my test today @2PM and am mighty nervous.

I took it on June 1 and felt like mine had a lot of SATA. I didn't keep count, but it was more than I was expecting for some reason. It stopped at 75 questions, I got the "good" pop-up, and yesterday my quick results said I passed. Now I just have to wait to show up on my BON website.

My best piece of advice for anyone who has yet to take it is - don't panic. Do anything you can to calm yourself if you suffer from severe test anxiety, for it does you NO good. Get rid of it. Take some slow, deep breaths, imagine yourself on the beach, read, do mundane chores, whatever will distract you/calm you. This goes double for after you take it. There's a 99.9% chance you will feel bad after you finish - confused, anxious, convinced that you failed - but it means nothing. It is normal to feel this way, so don't let it convince you of the worst.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does SATA refer to?

lcswifey-best of luck to you! If you could go back and study, what area(s) would you focus on/study more?

Thanks!

Thanks...and good luck to u...but I did Kaplan review..that's all I studied from but from taking the test I think maybe safety precautions that was the big thing...

I would take seeing SATA as a good sign. They are more difficult. The more questions on the NCLEX you get right, then the more difficult they get. Hence the more SATA you see the better you are doing. Right?

Took mine yesterday. I had 5 or 6 SATA...GOT THE GOOD POP UP!!!

I had mine today and had 75 questions. 17 SATA, good pop up. :)

praying...

I had the full test of 265 questions. I kept track and I had 35 SATA throughout my whole test! It was insane! Luckily I passed too!

Took mine on the 1st, and out of 107 questions, I had about 15 SATA, which was relatively low compared to my classmates that had taken it. I have heard one girl say she had 40 out of 75. Most of mine were "what/who would you see first" and tons of teaching. And I passed :)

I had 17 SATA in 75 questions. Passed.

I wasn't afraid of them, because they made me feel like I was above the passing line already.

I had a whole bunch of SATA. It was starting to frustrate me. On question 74 I was thinking "I hope 75 is NOT a blasted SATA."

It was. I think I got it right and the test shut down after it.
