Los Angeles County of Nursing - Fall 2014

This is for those of us that will be applying to LA county college of nursing and allied health's fall 2014 semester. I will be submitting my application for the basic RN program tomorrow... Yayyy!!! I am beyond excited, I can't believe this time has finally come!

Hello! Welcome to the madness! It took a while to get mine for some reason. I would call them ASAP! I called and they said "yes you are approved for testing and you should have received the letter by now" So they sent a new one. You need to schedule the exam asap because all TEAS transcripts are due to them by 4/1 to be considered for Fall! Please call them. If they are done with testing, and you havent tested anywhere else yet, you can schedule it at an ATI center. Im taking mine Monday at the ATI center. It costs $115 but if thats what you have to do, then thats what you have to do! Good luck! Let us know!

I'm on the fence about calling; part of me wants to call cause I obviously want to know but at the same time, I don't want to annoy them (especially because I turned in my application last minute :dead:). I'm not so worried about testing since I already took the TEAS so all I would have to do is send a transcript. If nothing arrives in the mail by Friday, I am definitely going to call first thing in the morning.

Awww! I wish you the best of luck and sending you the best of vibes! I was so nervous the day before I took the exam but the morning of the test, I oddly felt calm. My advice to you: DONT try to study minutes before the test. I saw so so so many people studying literally as they were waiting in line to get their ID's checked. In my humble opinion, that could confuse you more and make you second guess yourself...

@allaboutkitties: call them. They are nice and receive tons of phone calls just like yours. So don't worry. Besides better safe than sorry. What if you don't call and never receive a letter and then your out of luck and have to wait another semester? Call them, you might get lucky and get a answering machine, then they have to call you back:)

I called about a week after my peers received letters and i didnt. I just wanted to make sure! They are SO nice and they know how important it is to us. Honestly, i have never felt uncomfortable talking to anyone in that office!!!

Anxiously awaiting my TEAS results that I took last Friday, the 28th. I just called County and they said that the results should be posted later this afternoon or tomorrow. Just incase anyone else is enduring this dreadful wait, the torture is almost over...lol

argh! Me too, I took it last Saturday, March 1st. The proctor said that'd be in today. Last I checked still nothing. Guess I'll check again and again...lol

To ally my anxious LA County Fall 20145 hopefuls.....please keep your head UP! It is a gorgeous day outside. Go enjoy the weather, read a book in the park, walk the dog, do anything but worry about your results. I understand the wait is a KILLER and I will be there in a couple days (test Monday). Do me a favor and enjoy this beautiful Saturday FOR ME since I'm stuck in the house studying. You all did great and all this anxiety is just going to make you age. LOL!

**disclaimer** I am only saying this because I am freaking out, but I have to be the voice of reason here...AHAAHAHHAHA. Bye guys! :roflmao:

I don't think we will be getting our results today :( someone over there dropped the ball. When I called contacted ATI yesterday, they told me that they hadn't even received our tests from county.

Yeah! Definitely nothing over the weekend. And if they didn't receive the tests yesterday, even Monday is questionable.

Like you mentioned excited1, they told me that they had sent out a letter a week ago and I told them that I hadn't received it. Low and behold, it was in my mail box the next day (which was Friday)! The only date to take the TEAS stated on my letter was for March 21st (for any of those wondering) but since I already took it, all I have to do is send the transcript!

To all of those awaiting your results, I wish you all the best of luck and that you receive the scores that you desire!

Question: Did any of you apply to other schools aside from County? If so, which ones? :)

I applied to College of the Canyons as well as County. County is my first choice. Glad to hear you received confirmation of TEAS!
