I will also be applying during this app period but for the LVN bridge program that starts next summer. I 100% know what you mean about not believing the time has come!!! It has been a long time to get to this point and it is finally here and it feels so good!!
Thanks! I've been waiting 3 years for this day. I have to be :)
Dont forget to go to the info session. Its not up yet but keep on checking their website..good luck and dont lose hope! :)
Can't believe application isn't up yet and they still haven't posted the info sessions.

I applied to LA County for the generic ADN. I got a phone call today saying that I was placed on a waiting list but they have an opening spot for one of the clinicals I had chosen. Problem is.. I'm already an LVN and accepting this would mean starting from scratch (2yrs). I was also offered an admission w MSMC but this is the bridge program. The thing is attending LA County would be much cheaper. Any thoughts?
I think this really depends on you. Which is most important, time or money? For me time is more important, but that's because I'm an older student, so I have to get this show on the road...lol.
slicksGIRL, during this application period you can apply to the LVN-RN program and if accepted then you would start summer 2014. So you would have the benefit of a cheaper program and the bridge program. This is what I plan on doing.

I was thinkin of doing the same but I'm afraid of not getting in.

I'm not sure how that would work being that you're on the wait list for the basic program already. How many points do you have?
I think that would be dependent on whether you have enough points. If you have a sufficient amount of points, you should be able to get into the lvn-rn program
