Just wondering what is the longest anyone has had to wait for I-140 approval?
My history:
joined OGP june 2004
Job offer St Joes phoenix aug 2004
NCLEX pass march 2005
filed for I-140 may 2005
Still waiting:stone
Now I have been told it will be November at least before I travel to US:crying2:
I think I should be in the record books or is there someone out there with the same problem:imbar
Got e-mail notification from USCIS this morning that my I140 was approved on 1st March :smiley_aaPassed NCLEX at the end of April - my paperwork went in to Vermont in August (don't ask why), so all in all, it been a remarkably speedy process

Congratulations :balloons:
unfortunately cant track it as ogp holding numbers to ransom much to my disgust!!
I can't figure this out .......surely, any info OGP has relating to your case is about you and therefore must belong to you .......can't you insist they give you the number so you can track your case? The contract you have with them has to be a two-way agreement, anything which is heavily weighted against one of the parties could be seen to be an unfair contract. I've recently been involved in a legal dispute (non-nursing related) and the legal advice I was given is that any contract which puts one of the parties at a disadvantage is an "unfair" contract in the eyes of the law, and therefore could be invalid.....and all this sounds too one-sided IMO.......call their bluff, tell them you'll seek legal advice if they don't start playing ball.....sounds like you've nothing to lose.
Good luck anyway, and hope you hear something soon.

Ive already been down this road 'it is company policy for OGP not to give out the reciept numbers' is what i got, i cant imagine why, to be honest i dont see the problem, all i know is that they get on my nerves, if they wernt holding my bankers draft they would probably be told to stuff it where the sun dont shine as my husband is getting increasingly uptight about it!

I'm still of the mind, agreeing with Letina, that this may well be up for a legal challenge. Section 7(1) of the Data Protection Act 1998 provides the right of access for the subjects of the personal information - data subjects.
Data subjects have the right to:
know whether you or someone else on your behalf are processing personal information about them
know what information is being processed, the reason it is being processed and those to whom it may be disclosed
receive a copy of the personal information about them
know about the sources of the information

I did my PG Dip in Law a few years ago so I may be off track, but it sounds reasonable that a company dealing with your personal data should be allowing you access to it.

Not to scare anyone, but I have waited for 2 1/2 years before my I140 got approved (Nebraska). That's a very long, painful waiting and thank God I got over it.... Now, I'm waiting for my interview maybe this April. Good luck to all those who are waiting for their I140 approval... Believe me, the waiting doesn't end there....
Demigod: two and half years OMG:eek: here I am thinking I was the record holder.
Originally OGP used to file with Nebraska, but changed to Vermont because of the long processing times. Glad to see your progressing now, fingers crossed for you for a interview date soon. Where in the US are you going?

I was in the same position as you. In the dark.
Asked my company for my INS number and tracked it on-line at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp . Signed up for their e-mail notification and Bob was my uncle. At least you then know as soon as it's OK'd rather than waiting for the company to tell you, although, to my great surprise my company rang me today to tell me (I already knew).
It's such a painful and drawn out process that it's blo*dy marvelous when you get news that you are one step nearer and that eventual final step is nearer still.
Mentally drafting my 3 month's notice.
Cheers
