why november is that how long there expecting it to take now???
i know how you feel sort of
NCLEX passed in june, papers filed august still waiting
i think ours must be lost in the same pile
at least there was some movement on the site, i know we are told not to take much notice of it but sometimes its the only glimmer of hope i get!!!
communication with ogp seems to be a waste of time, im starting to feel fobbed off by them, i understand that they must get fed up of us ringing them about it all the time, but its not like they are doing it for free.
i was hoping the website would have changed today as it seems to change fortnightly but it hasnt changed for some reason
feel fed up:stone

HI
Yes english nurse I recieved a letter friday saying November was my expected travel date, just like you I am frustrated and annoyed:angryfire and feel my hands are tied, I was told when I was offered my job that from then it would be 18 mths till travel, if November is the true date it will be 2 yrs 4 mths, like you I keep thinking why me!!!
Letina :balloons: congratulations and good luck. Yes I know Kay very well, she contacted me with regard to my job offer at st joes and have kept in touch ever since, we had a similer time line kay was about8 weeks a head of me, so you can see why I am so frustrated
I wouldnt mind I only went with an agency so as to get there quicker as they know the routine but it is a lesson that has been learned- take everything they say with a pinch of salt.:stone
Agencies do not make it quicker. They only process on form at a time, and wait until they get approval on that, until the next is filed. You are also under what ever their attorney wants to do, not under your time frame.
Agencies, in most cases, are only good if you do not have money for immigration fees and the exams, otherwise, you are much further ahead to do it yourself. They also get $5 of every hour that you work.
There are agencies out there that handle direct hiring by facilities and are padi only by the facility, nothing at all comes from your pay. That is the only type that I recommend.
There are nurses here from the UK that went the agency route, and it took 3 years for them to be in the US, it should be less than one year for you.

God suzanne i feel even worse now
i think alot of nurses do the agency thing because they are sold the idea that usa immigration is so complicated they will never manage it themselves.
i would never do it again thats for sure i would do it by myself, im not sure that i needed the so called nclex 'help' they gave us either, oh it wasnt help as we had to pay for it!
ah well my tuppence worth
Should have mentioned that prior to joining the agency was doing the process on my own, had my CES done already. Actually started in September 2003 but by the following yr was getting a bit lost in all the paper work The agency made it clear that from joining I would be out in the US in 18mths. (maybe I'm to naive)
Was also told in June 2005 to reduce my house and sell it quickly as my scheduled start date was Jan-March 2006, I did as i was told and sold my house and am in rented poised for the move.

Yes.. They are very quick for I-140 but you still have to wait for I-485 approval to get greencard.
I have been waiting for almost 4 months now. Hopefully, I will hear from them soon.:)
Congrats t.turnball :balloons:
Wow that was quick, maybe I should have asked what was the quickest time from NCLEX - I140 approval :chuckle
Fingers crossed you will be out there soon.
