Hello everyone!

I am creating this forum so we can all stay updated during the application process. Good luck to everyone applying this semester! ?

Hello Everyone,

I just applied to LBCC Spring 2022. This is my first time applying so I'm a little nervous...

Just submitted my application today! This is my second time applying ??

This is also my second time applying! I wish the best luck to all of us :). We should hear back from them in 6-8 weeks! So sometimes mid-late November.

Good luck everyone I submitted yesterday my application and also is my first time.

Hi everyone,

I just applied. My friend just told me it was a lottery system. Do they always do a lottery system?

@Jenbelleunfortunately, yes.

How does the lottery system work?

Here's what their website says. I'm not sure how they choose students out of each GPA group:

We choose 50% of our students from those with a GPA of 3.5 to 4.0, 25% from those with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 and 25% from students with a GPA of 2.5 to 3.0. We accept 40 students and 20 alternates each semester. Our typical number of eligible applicants is 400 to 550.

Thank you so much! They get slot of applicants! Best of luck everyone!

Even before they pick the cohort, they cut more than half of their applicants. For instance, is they get 1100 applications they randomly select 350 of 1100 to review. So, 750 applications will not even get a look.

Hi, everyone. I just got an email from LBCC which requests us to pick a date for a zoom meeting. There are three dates and time period available for us and I chose the most recent one. Not sure how many people applied since last time it was over a thousand applicants.
