Hey all,
I haven't seen a forum for the LBCC Fall 2021 ADN cohort yet, so I decided to create one! I understand it's an extremely competitive lottery system, but I thought we can use this forum to ask questions, share stats, and/or talk about the application process.
According to past selections, there are usually 500-1500 applicants and only around 40 are given a spot. 20 people will be listed as alternates.
I will be applying with:
Life Sciences GPA: 4.0
English & Math GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA (I'm not sure if they look at this but..): 3.91
I took the TEAS twice (for other schools), but for my first try, I scored 81.3.
Good luck to everyone applying! Feel free to comment anything below.

I apologize that I am not at all familiar with this program.
However, you may also find it beneficial to post this under the Students forum, particularly under School/College Forums:
https://allnurses.com/school-college-programs-c152/
There might be someone there that can help with your questions as this forum is more related to nursing/school programs.
Good luck!

I’m applying, it’s a long shot though.
Life Sciences GPA: 4.0
English & Math GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA 3.9
TEAS 91 Unfortunately none of this matters, it’s just luck.

I’ll be applying again. They mainly look at your science GPA for admission and use your overall as a tie breaker if needed. I’ll be attending the informational meeting on the 3rd so I’ll update you guys.
Here’s my stats:
Science GPA: 4.0
Math/English GPA: 3.5
Overall: 3.35
TEAS: 84.7

Is your overall GPA your cumulative?
Cumulative as in all the courses you have taken in college?
Sorry, I am very confused about how they choose the students. Hoping you can help

Yes, it is. So it should be the overall GPA of all the college classes you have ever taken. Science GPA/Core GPA just consists of: Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. English and Math GPA is what you get in an introductory English and Math class (anything higher than Intermediate Algebra). In conclusion, LBCC is only basing off their LOTTERY pickings by the student's: Overall GPA, Science/Core GPA, and English & Math GPA.
After you're selected, you're invited to take the TEAS exam with them if you have not taken it before. If you score above 62%, you are in the program! Unfortunately, even the admin lady in the webinar admitted, the chances of a student being picked is very unlikely since they are choose around 40 students in a batch of 500-1000 applicants. (4%-8% acceptance rate)
