Long Beach City College (LBCC) ADN Fall 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey all,

I haven't seen a forum for the LBCC Fall 2021 ADN cohort yet, so I decided to create one! I understand it's an extremely competitive lottery system, but I thought we can use this forum to ask questions, share stats, and/or talk about the application process.

According to past selections, there are usually 500-1500 applicants and only around 40 are given a spot. 20 people will be listed as alternates.

I will be applying with:

Life Sciences GPA: 4.0

English & Math GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA (I'm not sure if they look at this but..): 3.91

I took the TEAS twice (for other schools), but for my first try, I scored 81.3.

Good luck to everyone applying! Feel free to comment anything below.

Hi all! I was checking in on the website to get an idea of the application since the app period opens on 3/8 but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if the app is only available during the app period? or is it available for viewing now? If any of you have any information to share, that would be amazing! Thanks a bunch and Good luck!

It should be viewable when the app opens. I don't think they allow preview.

Okay, that's what I figured too. Thank you!

Hi all, I'm having trouble submitting my application for some reason. When I click submit it says "An error has occurred, stopping one or more documents successfully uploading. Please refresh and try again". Does anyone know how I can fix this? I know it's not my wifi, I tried using my mobile hotspot too.

Edit: My PDF files wouldn’t upload, so I changed them and was able to submit. But now I accidentally input the wrong course title in the entry for physiology by writing “Anatomy” rather than “Physiology”. Do you guys think this will affect my application? I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) to double check but boy am I nervous.

I'm sure they'll make a note of it/fix it. You should be fine

Hope someone can answer my question. When filling out the application I noticed it was asking for a life sciences equivalency form if science classes were taken outside of LBCC. Did the life science equivalency form need to be requested prior to submitting an application?

Yes, we were supposed to submit it a month in advance. They stated so during the informational meeting. I submitted mine and got a replied back from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) with his signature. I hope this information helps! If anything, you can email the coordinators/department chair staff for more clarification.

I cannot say for certain it would not affect your application, but I'm glad you emailed just in case. On my end, I can seemingly submit the files fine. I uploaded 3 so far. It seems to be a minor mistake; I do not think you have to worry as much. ?

I just submitted too! 6-8 weeks of waiting! Good luck to everyone ?

Submitted w/ 4.0 science pre-reqs & 3.9 overall.

They did not ask for my TEAS on the app, but I'll send it anyway! (81.3%)

Hi everyone. This will be my first time applying to LBCC. Does anyone know how to calculate overall GPA if I attended two different colleges?
