Creating a thread for lbcc and fall 2024 application cycle. My first time applying, do they go by science GPA or overall? Seeing conflicting information.

Hello,
according to the info session LBCC looks at both Science GPA & overall GE GPA. Hope this helps

I think my application got lost? Has anyone heard from the LBCC nursing Department? Usually by this time, the board knows about the next round.

I got my rejection letter like a couple days after the application deadline ! You should be hearing from them soon. I also have a co worker who has not heard anything from them . Take it as a good sign for now 🙂

I also haven't heard from them.
Was your rejection based on GPA?

I just got an email for being placed as an alternate. Anyone know more about that? Like how many others are on the alternate list and the chances of being selected? Or even how do they decide who is 1st to be picked to replaced

Congratulations!! I haven't receive any communications from them yet. Hope to hear something from them soon.
Congratulations to everyone who got in and/or if you were chosen to be an alternate!

Received an email, I got placed on the alternate list, but what does that mean? Does anyone know how many people are chosen to be on that list, and how many actually get in?

Unfortunately I think their system had a glitch. I did not get an email a few days after the application cycle closed, so I thought no news was good news. I emailed them to double check and was informed I was not accepted at this time. No further information. Maybe next time!
So did anyone ask any questions to the coordinator about how being an alternate works?
